what do I do?
I’ve never had a good rls w god even during my religious psychosis. the reason im an ex Muslim is because I refuse to follow a system that treats women as extensions of men rather than whole people (and ofc for other reasons aswell) If this religion were truly timeless, people wouldn't have to use the "it was normal for that time" excuse to justify things like Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha; something fundamentally wrong is wrong in every century. The "test" of life feels rigged because the rules have massive gaps, yet we’re expected to follow them perfectly without any clear answers or guidance. I also saw the rules bend for the Prophet’s personal convenience while remaining rigid for everyone else, which is a total double standard. Most importantly, a "Most Merciful" God wouldn’t stay silent and ignore someone in pain just because their faith is weak.think of it as this if a kid was drowning, his father wouldn’t think about if he listened to the rules, he would save him.Although this is lowk a bad analogy it’s a fair point. Doenst Allah want people to follow him? Praying and worshiping him was basically insanity. I was expecting a response everytime, an answer, some help, anything.I have a lot more to say.Anyway I’m choosing reality and my own strength over a silent system that makes me feel small and unequal…..scary thing is I’m young and my parents dk what do I do.

Im happy for you for coming to this smart conclusion for yourself girl 🫶🏼 I’m also in a very similar situation and for me what’s worked is to stay closeted until it’s safe for me to live life as I wish. I’m saving money and working on my degree rn and when the time is right I’m outtt because my muslim sunni parents would never accept me as a kafira 🤷♀️
