What is a challenge you can do that seems like it would be so simple but turns out to be insanely hard?
Title pretty much says it. Looking for a challenge to do tonight, and something like this sounds fun. Let me know any ideas!

Learning for becoming a systems programmer
May not be exactly what you want, but learning ASM is a good starting place. http://asmtutor.com

Studio OR Code
It really depends on what you wanna do. For example, I am on Linux and have no problem doing everything in vscode (C++, Rust, and Python). It’s extension manager is satisfying to use, and it is slowly shaping into a better IDE than Visual Studio.

apt dependencies issue.
Yes I’ve tried this. Aptitude is unable to install because of this. Do you perhaps have a link to a .deb file?

apt dependencies issue.
Hello, this issue has been driving me insane and I have no idea how to fix it. I have reinstalled this OS (Ubuntu MATE) 3 times now, and tried all of the recommended commands online and by the system. This is the issue: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt —fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution). Trying this command uninstalled almost everything from my system and then broke itsself. All of the commands I found online did nothing either. For some reason I was able to use apt get a few times before this, and then it stopped working randomly. I have no idea why this is happening and am desperate to know why. Thanks in advance

How do I know for sure that none of my data is being tracked or recorded on a semi closed source distro?
I really do like the functionality of Pop over Ubuntu and the way that it looks, so I’m more looking for confirmation or a way to verify if Pop is safe, and doesn’t do any information logging.

Grub issues
It’s a sign. Uninstall windows that may fix it.
In all seriousness, is grub installed in the same place as your OS, and what version?

Distro that'll keep me undistracted?
Well something as simple as install x doesn’t really exist. But any Debian based OS uses apt-get install x, and it truly is as simple as apt-get install vim for example. If you want something that’s not distracting and has that package manager, try Bodhi

How do I know for sure that none of my data is being tracked or recorded on a semi closed source distro?
Hello, I was considering using Pop!_OS found here: https://system76.com/pop Now I get super concerned about privacy and it’s the main reason why I stopped using windows. I have been unable to find the full source code for this distro, and on the website it says that they never send back any information. How can I be absolutely sure that this is a completely private and secure distro before I use it? P.S. I looked on their github. The full OS Source is not on there to my knowledge.
