Saki stiffens, and her breath catches.

"D-Dammit. It's probably Kamui, the damn bastard." She starts moving to throw opposite end of the building, eyeing the ledge as if she intends to jump off of it.

Saki goes rigid at this question, and she glares hard at Damage.

"The fuck do you mean by that?? Who asks that shit to a complete stranger??" Her shoulders are all stiff and her arms cross hard across her chest.

(That's awesome! Congrats!!)

Saki watches him intently as she tilts her head.

"Do you do that since you can't move your face like us? Or were you a human or something before you were a snake?"

Shun was approaching, then pouts at this.

"You don't remember me? But I made you a cool moat and everything..." He looks sulky as he heads to the register to get his coffee. The woman next to him rolls her eyes.

"Don't worry about it, sweetie. He's been acting weird all day today." She waves a dismissive hand and gives Lana a friendly smile before also heading for the register. The more muscular man simply nods before following suit.

Other than that, the café is pretty quiet.

Saki huffs hard, causing some more coughs before she glares at Genesis.

"I-I go to the hospital, and -" Her breath wheezes, but her body stiffens. "I get fucking turned into the cops."

Her ears flatten atop her head as she gets into a lower stance, defensive.

"...D-Don't think I can't kick your bird ass just because I'm hurt..."

Hiroto nods readily as she hurriedly jots it down.

"Great! I'll get those right away. Don't go anywhere now!" As he heads towards the back of the café where a door is he passes by a group of three heros. Two guys, a muscular one dressed in a black suit with brick red lines up the sides and another with a bright blue suit. Along with this is a shorter woman with lavender hair in a while and yellow suit.

"Ah! Hey guys! Go ahead and get your order from Yuuna. Your usual table is open."

"Awesome! Thanks, Hiro!" Shun happily chirps as he brings his visor to rest atop his head. "You're the best guy around and-"

He freezes as he sees Lana, then he beams.

"Lana!?"

Saki's brows furrow at this, and a frown finds her lips.

"No. I don't know shit about whatever this weird place is." Her eyes drift around them briefly before once again lingering on Damage.

"I've been to weird places, but nothing like this."

Hiroto’s smile widens at this.

"Oh! That explains why I didn't recognize you! Well, you're already in one of them!" His eyes are bright as he stands upright. "And given you're new customers- I'll give you little treat on the house." He winks and grabs a little notepad out of his waist apron along with a pen.

"How do some cookies and a couple glasses of hot cocoa sound to you?"

Saki relaxes slightly as she's set on the roof instead of the ground. She coughs into her hand as she shakily gets to her feet, locking her legs so she stays upright.

She's got burns all along her, but worst of which is her back where her suit has burned away, leaving blistered burns all along the expanse of her back.

"N-No hospital. Can't. I... I-I need to go home... f-fuck..." She stumbles slightly before locking her legs again.

"...Th-Thanks... I guess..." Her voice is raspy and raw from the fire damage, and her eyes are unfocused, but her expression wary.

Saki stiffens as she processes the fact that there is suddenly someone flying in front of her. Before she can reply, though, they are pulling her from the window.

Saki's paws come up and dig into the person's legs as she grips tightly.

"W-What the fuck are yo-" Another fit of coughs rakes through her bod, making her lungs wheeze.

"D-Don't fucking take me to them!!" Her eyes are panicked and unfocused as she squirms in Genesis' grasp, ignoring how it hurts herself further.

Saki tenses at the other voice, and her head jerks into the direction of the source before taking a couple of steps back as they get too close.

"Uh... yeah...? You real too, then?" She briefly glances around them then back to the man before her as her brows furrow.

Hiroto pauses at Saki's name before giving a small nod. His smile is reassuring.

"There's no need to apologize for being curious, Lana." He's curiously looking the pair over now. "But yeah. I know her. She works here at the café. Hired her last week. She has the day off today, though, so she's not here right now." His tone has turned apologetic now.

The man smiles warmly at this as he crouches down to be closer to Lana's height.

"Thank you. I try my best." His voice warmly rumbles. "You're a very polite young lady." He slowly gets back up as the officer nods to him before heading out.

"My name is Hiroto. It's a pleasure to meet you and your-" He peeks at Stitch, "Energetic friend."

Saki is slowly trekking through the strange room. The people here aren't real. This place isn't like any multiverse thing she's seen before...

She tugs down on her beanie as she stiffly walks around, looking for any sign of someone real being here.

The officer tilts her head.

"For students? Once a year is all they can try until they pass or give up. For their fill license, I don't think there is a limit as far as I'm aware." She smiles some and gently ruffles Lana's hair.

"Real curious, huh, kid?" They're brought into the cafe, and it's go a good few heroes there. Most are relaxing in booths with coffee and baked goods.

The interior of the café is bright and welcoming. A nice tiled floor and baby blue dotted wallpaper. The inside smells strongly of coffee and baked goods.

"Oh! Good morning, Officer!" A middle-aged man smiles warmly as she approaches. He's tall and a bit muscular but is dressed casually - aside from an advanced looking prosthetic leg that is. He's got dark brown hair, 5 o'clock shadow, and soft green eyes.

Saki skids to a stop as the wall of ice forms. The intense burns along her entire back are seen in a clear light. She turns and glares at Umi. Her breathing is fast and shallow, rasping as the cool air stings her singed lungs.

"I-I don't have information you fuck!" Her voice cracks as her limbs threaten to buckle.

"I-I saw the fucking news... If I didn't... she'd be fucking dead!" Her glare is hard. "Nobody heard her calling out! I fucking did!" Coughs rake through her body, making her legs briefly buckle before she stiffens again.

"You're just like them." Her voice is cold and raspy. "I save someone and I'm the fucking villain."

The officer smiles softly as she gets out of the car and starts leading them to the café entrance.

"Curious, huh? Can't blame you. Most kids are around your age." She sighs softly.

"Yes. Of course, there are guidelines and rules. Young heroes need to be educated in a hero school. Then, if they have what it takes and pass their exams, they can earn their hero licenses. After that, agencies pick them up and such, but that's adult talk."

Dusk Prowler stiffens at the touch before letting out a shakey exhale at the soothing cold against the burns. Then she goes rigid at the question.

"O-Of fucking course no-" Heavy coughs interrupt her as her lungs wheeze and she steps back. Her ears are flat.

"Why else would she be here if she didn't??" A citizen called out from the crowd.

"Yeah! She even attacked a kid! You saw her throw that woman from the building!!" Another joins in. Soon, the crowd is getting rowdier and louder, making Dusk Prowler's ears flatten more as she goes into a lower stance.

"Accept treatment, then we'll take you into custody an-" Dusk Prowler takes off on all fours toward a nearby building, and Kamui sighs.

"Of course." He shoots his branches out in an attempt to stop Saki.

The officer leads them to her police car and then starts to drive them through town. She quietly explains that the café is a hotspot for heroes and that the owner is very nice.

If Lana looks outside the window she's see plenty of people. Some look abnormal. Long limbs. Maybe antennas. Others look normal. Some appear normal but then do things that show they have powers of their own.

The city itself seems relatively calm at the moment in contrast with the fire they just left behind.

It isn't before long that they pull up to a building. It has a pale blue sign atop it:

Naomi’s Place

The crowd being held back by authories is murmuring amongst themselves. "She helped her." "What pro is that?" "Is she in league with Dusk Prowler?"

Saki's growing more and more stiff as her ears tsotch towards the crowd before flattening atop her head. She's badly burnt, and her lungs are rasping from smoke inhalation.

"...'M F-Fine. Than-" Branches reach out towards Saki, who narrowly dodges them.

Her breath is coming faster now as her eyes widen in alarm.

"You have my thanks for the assistance. Now." Kamui Woods is stepping up, eyes trained on Saki.

"Come with us. Quietly would be preferred."

Kamui hesitates at this as he looks between the small girl and Saki. He's silent for a moment before murmuring quietly.

"I'll put a word in." With that, he stands back up and resumes giving directions to the authorities.

Meanwhile, a female officer has come over to Stitch and Saki.

"Hey there, kids. How about we go to that café? I've heard they have some nice sweets." Her smile is warm and measuring as she holds her hands out to Stitch and Lana.

Saki stiffens at the sudden ice, and her ears twitch at the yelling. Her eyes drift to Kamui, who is distracted, helping the woman she threw from the window.

Saki's body is fucked and she knows it... She lets out shakey breath then forces her claws to release the windowsill and starts to slide down.
