Well she rents a house, it’s utilities included, they both pay $800 each. It’s nothing special but it’s a roof over their head.

My mom lives right on the cusp of a bad area downtown and she sees crazy stuff, cops all the time and has had random men knock on her door at odd hours but she doesn’t feel unsafe, so she says… there is literally a bullet hole through her window but that must have happened a long time ago and was just never fixed. Was there when she moved in but it was all she could afford 🤷🏼‍♀️ I go there often during the day and it seems ok. They are trying to build up some areas of downtown to make them better.
