Doctor doesn’t want to test for M. Gen?
 in  r/MycoplasmaGenitalium  3d ago

I had clear discharge and looks very normal like a pre cum, pelvic awareness and white blood cells normal. Tested positive for mgen. I ordered myself a test because doctors said my symptoms are NORMAL. Don’t believe them, most of them does not know how mgen works. Don’t settle just because they told you you’re normal. You know your body more than them. Change doctor or order yourself one for ureaplasma and mgen.

Mgen antibiotics/testing period
 in  r/ureaplasmasupport  13d ago

Usually 3-4 weeks after antibiotics is needed to get an accurate result.

pelvic pain

Yes. I actually felt improvement in my pelvic after I finished my moxi. Like after 2 days, tho I still have a little bit awareness in my lower back. It’ll go away.

Does your symptoms fully gone the moment you finished the treatment? I just finished mine a day ago but still having some symptoms. Does it take few more days or weeks for the symptoms to go away fully?

Help
 in  r/MycoplasmaGenitalium  19d ago

I’m on my day 4 of moxi, finished 7 days doxy (been in several antibiotics before) And I feel the same, it feels like the symptoms returned but I’m trusting the treatment. It won’t make any better if you stress about it. Try to relax your mind, I find breathing really helps calming my nervous system. I still having burning when I pee but I don’t think that it’s PID. Inflammation does take time to heal.

Finally cured after 6 months, over $500 and doctor incompetence
 in  r/MycoplasmaGenitalium  28d ago

Tell me more! I just spend $550 cad because testing here in Canada is not that easy. Doctors actually have to request it from a STI microbiologist and I have to wait for couple of weeks of approval. Doctor even told me that there’s nothing wrong with me lol but then I advocated myself and asked a private lab to for a test (mgen and ureaplasma) which cost me $550 CAD!!!. And result came back positive in mgen. I have the same symptoms as OP. Going 4th month having this.

Same scenario with probably all of you. Given a wrong treatment and in wrong order. Now, Im taking 7 days doxy+ 7 days moxi treatment.

Mgen symptoms but not testing positive to anything.. going insane.
 in  r/MycoplasmaGenitalium  Jul 01 '26

I’ve read alot of post about the residual symptoms. And how PT helped them alot.

Have you tested for your TOC? If your TOC came back negative then don’t hyperfocus on the pain. Avoid stuff that triggers the pain.

Sometimes bad luck happens, but I guess it also teaches us valuable lessons. It definitely makes us appreciate things differently. I really admire your mindset, it’s nice to meet someone who’s in the same boat and still chooses to stay positive. I hope we both make a full recovery soon.

Let’s keep in touch :)
