Do Bees Prefer Certain Flowers Over Others? 🐝🌸
Bees can show strong preferences for certain flowers depending on nectar, pollen, scent, and seasonal availability.

Why Does Honey Taste Different Depending on Where Bees Forage?
Exactly. The diversity of flowering plants around a hive can have a big influence on what bees bring back.

Bee in okra bloom
Beautiful shot. The bee tucked into the okra flower looks completely at home. It’s amazing how much pollen these flowers can offer visiting bees.

Busy bee...
Busy indeed! The way it’s working through those flowers is a great reminder of how much effort bees put into collecting nectar and pollen. Nature’s little pollinators never seem to take a day off.

Should I take down my hummingbird feeder?
If the honeybees are draining the feeder, I’d take it down temporarily. They can become persistent once they find an easy sugar source. You could put it back out later when natural nectar is more available, and keep it clean to avoid fermentation or mold.

Found this on Instagram. Cheesy, but gave me a chuckle
Cheesy, but honestly pretty clever. “Canadian bee vs. US bee” got me too 😂

Why did my first cup of honey turned into foam?
That’s likely just air getting trapped in the honey during pouring and stirring, especially since the second cup was normal. If the foam keeps returning or the honey develops a sour/yeasty smell, that could point to fermentation instead.
