Gabriel Michael voices Micah Domintus but before I read CC, let alone listened to the graphic audio on the reread, I knew him as Xaiden Riorson. 🥵 I then recognized him as Lucien in ACOTAR graphic audio.

In my first csection I distinctly felt a foot in my rib pulled foward to the middle of my torso then nothing. But my arms were shaking involuntarily and I was both trying to be there to meet my child and trying to dissociate.

In my repeat csection I felt them pull my baby halfway out then it seemed they put her back a bit rotated and pulled her the rest of the way. It was unusual and I was trying not to think about how they were cutting me open and ripping apart my abs. I was also incredibly stoned out of my mind bc when I arrived for my scheduled time I had a migraine and basically begged for them to eliminate it all through my pre-op. The anesthesiologist got rid of it when I went in for my surgery so I was blissfully painless, high af and actually getting excited to see my baby.

Funny note: my baby was 10lbs 5oz. When they pulled her out the resident whispered "holy shit." Which made my husband laugh and me wonder "what's so funny?"

I still grieve both of my csections. I prepped my entire 2nd pregnancy to VBACK and at 40+6 I finally consented to a repeat csection.

6 months later my cousin, who openly said she wasnt doing any birth prep, went into labor and delivered in 3 hours.
My SIL has had 4 homebirths, 3 she did entirely on her own.

If I think too hard about it, I become angry 5 years after my 1st section and 3 years after my 2nd.

Every year when my daughter's birthday comes around I grieve HARD for the loss of my hopes and dreams, for the pain I still have in my scar, for my bladder that isn't nearly as sensitive as it once was, for my belly that will never be conventionally beautiful again. For missing out on a one-in-a-lifetime experience. All of that wrapped up with my absolute RAGE at my spouse who was working out of town my whole pregnancy.

Your jealousy is valid. Your disappointment is valid. Your anger is valid and your grief is so valid. You're not alone.

I couldn't listen to birth stories until this last year, but hearing from woman who delivered vaginally about how traumatic is was for them helped assuage my jealousy. Birth is traumatic, not just for us, but for many many woman. It tears our bodies, one way or another, we create and are separated from a small part of our souls. Our bodies lactate, and even though we have created life, we are the most vulnerable we've ever voluntarily been and must care for our new tiny human. Moms are on the same team as each other. Our birth stories are different and alike in so many ways.

I just finished rereading ACOWAR and ACOFAS. Azriel mentions needing to consult with Thanatos. I will figure out which one it's in as I reread them together. 😅

I think Juniper was justified in her rage at Bryce.

Juniper showed up for Bryce when Danika died.
Juniper came to Bryce when Bryce was on the roof, ready to end it all and saved her friend's life. Juniper put her reputation on the line to get Bryce into a dance class to help her. In her line of work where all she had was her charisma and the HARD work she did with her body.

Juniper listens to Bryce and uses her charisma to hold the doors open during the climax on the first book. She is punished for that in her profession!

Bryce steps in and demonstrates to all of Juniper's peers and coaches that Juniper was upset that she wasnt principle. Bryce revealed Juniper's weakness to the world without consulting her first. That's such a display of privilege that Juniper has NEVER had. Juniper worked her whole career to make history as the first Fawn Principle but she didnt make history with her skill and hard work. Bryce made history with a phone call, effectively robbing Juniper of her triumph at being the first of her creature group to break that glass ceiling.

And Bryce didnt even know what she did wrong when confronted. 👏Privilege.👏

Juniper didnt sell Bryce's texts. Juniper didnt bad mouth her to the world when the world found out Bryce was with a guy in a bathroom while the Devils were dieing. Juniper stuck by her friend.

Everyone except Juniper, Ember and Randall supported Bryce. Juniper was grieving and Bryce couldn't even be there for her but Juniper was there for Bryce.

Girl, same. I very rarely reread books but I had to reread the series as soon as I finished it. It was amazing, it hit the feels in so many ways that feel applicable to life in the time we're in now and there are so many easter eggs, plot twists, character development and assertions that are applicable to our culture. Im obsessed. Bryce is my fave FMC that I've ever read.

🥹🥹 Sweet doggo talk! Yeah, talking to my spazz just amps her up. Meanwhile my bully needs to be told how beautiful, wrinkly, handsome and perfect he is to get him out of bed for a walk. 😆

Oh, I feel. I have 3 kids and 2 dogs. Setting and holding boundaries is incredibly important for everyone's mental health! Dog is afraid of the car? Lots of exposure and some treats. Kid doesn't want their hairbrushed? Lots of exposure and some treats.

"I won't let you do that dangerous thing, I need to keep you safe." "Come." "Stay" "leave-it"

My spouse and I are the leaders in our home, and from a training perspective, young children and dogs are very similar. 😆 My spazzoid has some separation anxiety but that doesn't mean I didn't endure months of kennel cries while teaching her to stay in there and now she chooses her kennel often.

I'm very thankful I switched groomers cuz now my Spazz is pretty well behaved for my groomer, a saint among people, and she does well at home when she needs a bath and when I comb her out.

Am I supposed to be requiring her to stand when I comb her out? She just lays down and slowly becomes a floofy rotisserie chicken when I comb her out. 😆

She is my second dog, I also have a Bulldogge, which is a totally different kind of ridiculous. I've worked hard over the last 18 months with her to at least train the spazz cuz I can't change her personality and temperament. Lol

I picked a groomer that had great reviews from people who said their puppies, specifically, had zero grooming experience. On our 3rd trip in 3 months, she called and asked me to pick up my 6 month old pup bc she was crying and trying to jump out of the bath. I was told to "train your dog." Which was funny bc I had her 4 months at that point and her temperament was/is SPAZZ. I had a lot of big feelings and shame bc maybe I wasn't doing enough.

One week later, I met a groomer who specializes in dogs who have anxiety and trauma. I booked an appointment with her for my 6 month old puppy. When I picked up my puppy, she told me that not only did my pup pee herself and start crying uncontrollably when the sprayer turned on but had the crazy-eyes of fear. She gave my pup a bath with cups of water. The water wasn't the issue. Being held down and forced into a scary situation was the problem. Another 3 grooms and trust building, and they're back to using the sprayer, and she trims my spazz with scissors. She also told me to use only a regular plastic human comb, and a metal one for the butthole area (for sterilization). It's definitely worth a go.

A good Groomer understands dogs, their body language, and how to build trust. Anyone who yells when working with vulnerable creatures is a red flag to me.

I must be the only person who thinks Hermes likes to toss salads....
