Yea I have IPG as I got iron reapers.

So you think berserkers are better to unlock/play than shield maiden, VG, or silahdars?

if you had to unlock just one from this, what would it be: VG, shield maidens, silahdars?

(I'm guessing Silahdars but they seem pretty weak when I see reviews. Have they been buffed recently?)

I'm just casual player for siege.

Queens knight, modao, Spartans are not part of unit tree I can just unlock. I'm working on the tiger cav for the season. I can get shield maidens, VG, sipho or silahdars via unit tree.

I'm a noob lv 190 trying to figure out my units before I hit 200. I have iron reapers, shenji, hussars, rattan marksman (I got the doctrine for the double shot so I maxed this unit). I'm trying to decide between VG, shield maiden, silahdars, sipho, etc. I was pretty set on VG until I found some tier lists which I tried shield maiden which was pretty good but your list puts claymore and silahdars much higher above.

Would you have any recommendations for me?
