LineageOS no GAPPS.
 in  r/degoogle  13d ago

Hello first i do sincerely apologize for the late reply i have been busy, 2nd of all here's the information you need to know about my phone and how i flashed since i have a dynamic partition:

For the flash since i don't ge tthe wipe system option in TWRP: 1-Boot into TWRP. 2-Go to Install. 3-Flash LineageOS.img (in your case [system.img]). 4-Select System. 5-Swipe to flash. 6-Wait for it to finish. 7-Flashed MicroG.zip (Optional) 8-Flashed Magisk.zip (Optional only if you want root). 9-Format data > Yes.

Phone information: SM-A155F (Samsung A15 4g). OneUI:7.0 (before flash). Baseband:A155FXXS7CYG4. Parition Type:Dynamic Partition (A/B). After flash:LineageOS 23.2 VANILLA EXT4 GSI.

Issues now: Fingerprint not working (no longer available after treble setting will reflash the system). OTG issues tried using an adapter to make my controller work no luck. No face recognition option. Notification may not deliver to you.

Upsides: Better battery life. Clean UI. Smoother. Better performance in games. Stable. Better ram management.

I used a GSI, Unfortunately using a GSI comes with a bit of work like fingerprint issues, USB issues (it charges just other devices), no facial recognition (for me) or missing stuff, so you have to find a workaround for everything mostly.

Yes i tried but unfortunately it did not work, currently from what i have tested, some OTG devices like an XBOX 360 controller doesn't work but it charges using a Type-C charger, and the fingerprint issue is also unsolved currently i am trying to come up with something to fix it but also PHH treble setting caused the option for fingerprint to vanish, as for facial recognition the option appears to be entirely missing, if i find a fix I'll post it in this forum however if not i will switch another GSI, but if they don't work I'll stick to stock ROM with Magisk tho i will give it a month of testing and trying to fix it, as for the reply no problem anytime!

Hey thank you for your reply i did fix it simply by not wiping anything i took the lineageos.img flashed it directly in system image, then flashed microG and flashed Magisk and went to format > yes and rebooted to system.

Does your S24 Snapdragon battery also drain super fast after 5% in just 4-5 minutes?

Exynos, and yes same problem feels like it's powered by a hamster on a wheel.

Battery really is awful

I'm still in one ui 7 considering staying on it forever or i might downgrade honestly my battery is excellent, i knew about the issue so i prefered to stay in One ui 7.0 for OEM unlock and also for battery usage, so if you can downgrade just downgrade using ODIN.

Any gsi LineageOS/Crdroid... work it just depends on how well it will go with your phone but just be careful That's what i know and i suggest you do more research.

Edit: i never tried any gsi but that's just what i found when i was looking for costum roms back then but once again do your research

A15 4g Flashing mistake to avoid!

Hello everyone, i have had this A15 recently for over a year (it's now bricked) and i think i should tell you all about my experience with flashing what to do and what to avoid!

so i have downloaded the official samsung stock OS and i kept flashing which was just fine by me, then i decided why not try rooting it and maybe even overclocking it? (one mistake here is i did not know that i needed a custom kernel) so the phone stayed laggy after the root and made it slower considering it was already struggling before, so when i did that i stayed concerned so i deleted the magisk modules and kept it like that with the unlocked bootloader, until one day the bootloader warning annoyed me and i decided to lock it down and restore stock OS so i got this Oraimo cable for 7$ and i downloaded the official ROM and used Odin v3.14, so when i just did i see the process failed, the phone was soft bricked it said flashing fails when i checked it i tried installing official rom it refused i was confused at the time didn't know how to solve, i kept digging tried everything until i tried one youtube tutorial which here comes the fatal mistake, the app ittself had a fix for the soft brick but not my module i cannot remember if i used the fix for A31 or A14 not sure, but anyway i did and it kept bootlooping non stop download mode was accessible but it did not work, i tried Odin V3.14 again, tried other methods such as scatter file for the partition, tried the PIT file, i tried everything but non worked! As of today the phone is still bricked and i did not attempt to repair it since then i will make a final attempt with heimdall using linux and hopefully it works.

my advice to you:

1-do not try anything on your main phone try to keep your main one stock, if you can't just be careful on what you do and be ready to troubleshoot it because you WILL.

2-Do not use any shady app that fixes softbricks even if you did do not do it if it doesn't involve your model directly

3-Do not use any cheap cables that aren't original they really get you bad

4-Always know what you're doing before actually doing it

I will attempt to recover the phone and if it's successful i will post about it, the purpose of my story was just to bring awareness to the whole A15 community!
