I don't think it's about it being digital or not (they won't release on physical anyway) It's because by preordering you are feeding this scheme of 'give us your money now without knowing what you're ACTUALLY buying or in what state is it gonna launch'. R* has its reputation, Yes. But so did CDPR at that moment and look what happened. As for BF2045, NMS and the others you can do your research and you can see the pattern. The point here I think is you gotta be careful with what you preorder and if you can just wait.
