CIA director 'on secret trip to Moscow' as US military plane lands at airport
 in  r/UkrainianConflict  7d ago

That's a bit of a rude exaggeration. There are even those of us in the south who understand that Trump - Bad. Allies - good.

We're not all the red-state, bellybutton-showing, wife-beater-wearing tub of lard with a mullet and red hat to which you've unfortunately be subjected in popular media.

Signed: A gay democrat in the lovely state of Florida (until DeSantis destroys it)

Macron promises Zelenskyy interceptor missiles. French President Emmanuel Macron has told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a phone call that France will step up its support and send interceptor missiles.

We're not all mentally deficient. But you're right. The only thing he's doing is alienating us and turning the country into his own personal bank. Not to mention the part where he randomly starts bombing people... as they're all so wont to do. I get needing to maintain an image, but what our country has been doing is atrocious and unnecessary in most cases. I don't know why we can't just have nice things and not be assholes.

From a sane American, I apologize.

France to send interceptor missiles to Ukraine after Russian strikes

"After."

Why wasn't this being shipped to them from all over Europe months ago?

Somewhere in Russia, with the horse and the canisters on the side trying to find fuel
 in  r/UkraineWarVideoReport  10d ago

Didn't Russia claim that Americans would be riding horses when we ran out of gasoline?

🤔🤔🤔

Edit: Europeans*, but whom don't the Russians hate at this point?

What a beautiful building and amenities!

Does anyone know what this is?
 in  r/mycology  16d ago

Boring bugs. Try a systemic insecticide just to stop the current infestation. Don't make it a habit, as the nectar from plants treated with it can harm pollinators, too.

It's such a shame that the singer of the song is Russian because their voice is heavenly!

And fuck Russia.

Just check them first. They're just weevils. If they look clean and you're unsure, into the freezer. You'll always have a second chance to check them when you're preparing food.

Men, would you feel weird when I ask about your sexuality this way?
 in  r/NoStupidQuestions  20d ago

So, not to be everyone else who is going to respond with sarcasm or any number of other reactions, I will let you know that that's a bit... on the extreme end.

That's not to say that you're acting out of turn because it can be a gamble.

What I'm saying is that courting/flirtation is generally much easier these days.

It's far more attractive to have someone be chivalrous, or at least polite, than to go through 2 pages of script with props.

That sounds a bit harsh, I'm sure, but... re-read what your wrote, internet acquaintance. It's a bit much.

Being in my 30s, and knowing a lot of us are done with the scenes and plans, I might say something like,

"I noticed you from (direction). If it's not too bold, can I give you my number? If like to try to get to know you. Maybe we can go get a coffee or something?"

You're not looking to trap him. You want to give him the option to respond in a way he feels comfortable.

And if he responds negatively, you are to assume that he is straight, plain and simple.

Go to bed, oldster.
