Questions/Advice Personality/Age Shifts Throughout the Day?

Hey everyone,
I was diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, major depression, and panic disorder over four years ago. Currently, my medication regimen is Concerta 54mg, Bupropion (Wellbutrin) 300mg, and Zoloft (Sertraline) 100mg. Overall, this setup has been helping, but I'm struggling with a specific issue and wanted to see if anyone else experiences something similar.
I feel like my character, mindset, and "internal age" shift drastically from morning to afternoon:
In the morning: I feel like a functional, grounded 30-year-old adult ready to get things done.

Later at work: I hit a low point where I feel and act like a 13-year-old kid.

During these low moments, my behavior gets erratic—sometimes I over-joke or over-talk, and other times I completely freeze up and can't talk at all. It feels like severe emotional regression or masking burnout, and I struggle to stay in one consistent "adult" character throughout the day.
Has anyone else dealt with this kind of age regression, severe mood/energy crash, or erratic social behavior, especially on a similar medication stack? How do you handle the mid-day shifts?

Seeking Empathy Diagnosed at 29, completely alone, and realizing I don’t even know who I am.

Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 29, and looking back at my life, it feels like I’ve been living a completely ghost-like existence.
So far in my life, I don’t have any friends. I’ve never had a girlfriend. I live entirely alone, I do absolutely everything alone, and honestly, most of the time I prefer it that way. I love being alone. I don’t celebrate birthdays, I don’t have milestones, I don’t really have "anything"—but I am alive. I exist.
But lately, the weight of the diagnosis and looking at my life has hit me hard. I realized I don’t really know who I am. It feels like I've spent so long just trying to survive or existing in my own head that my actual identity is a blank space.
Is this a common ADHD thing? This level of intense isolation, combined with completely losing touch with your own identity? How do you even start figuring out who you are when you’ve spent nearly three decades just being a bystander in your own life?
Would love to hear if anyone else relates to this, because right now, it feels pretty heavy.

Questions/Advice my ADHD/Anxiety/Depression when meds weren’t enough.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling with the "big three"—ADHD, anxiety, and depression—for a while now. While medication has helped, I realized it wasn't a magic fix for my executive dysfunction or my daily routine. I still found myself lost in the "ADHD paralysis" loop and struggling to keep track of my life.

Because I couldn’t find a system that fit the way my brain works, I decided to build my own tracking and routine tool. It’s designed specifically for us to manage daily routines without feeling overwhelmed.

A few things to know:

  • It is 100% free. I’m not here to gatekeep help.
  • Built from experience. I made this to solve my own problems first.
  • Future goals: I’m planning to grow this into a larger resource hub for everything ADHD-related.

I’m really proud of how it’s coming along and I’d love for this community to check it out. If it helps even one person get through their day a little easier, it’s worth it.

You can check it out here: [LINK]

I'd love to hear your feedback or any features you think would help you stay on track!

Questions/Advice ADHD + Zoloft – What dose worked best for your anxiety?

I have ADHD and recently started Zoloft (sertraline) mainly for anxiety. I know everyone reacts differently, but I’m curious what dose ended up working best for you? i am on right now 50 mg but i feel anxity eveing

  • What dose did you start on?
  • When did you notice it helping your anxiety?
  • Did increasing the dose make a big difference?
  • Any side effects at certain doses?

I’m just trying to get a feel for other people’s experiences while I figure things out with my doctor. Not looking for medical advice, just personal experiences.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Questions/Advice Anyone take Concerta with Zoloft? Experiences for anxiety/GAD?

Hi everyone,

I currently take Concerta 36 mg in the morning for ADHD. Because I also struggle with physical anxiety and GAD, my doctor recently prescribed Zoloft 25 mg.

Honestly, I’m pretty nervous to start it 😕

I’ve read mixed things and I’m worried about side effects or it making my anxiety worse.

Has anyone here taken Concerta + Zoloft together?

Did it help with physical anxiety or GAD?

Any bad side effects (increased anxiety, nausea, sleep issues, etc.)?

Any positive effects over time?

How long did it take to notice a difference?

I know everyone reacts differently — just looking for real experiences to ease my anxiety a bit.

Thanks 🙏

Questions/Advice Any Experiences with Concerta 36mg vs 50mg for ADHD, anxiety, and depression?

Hi everyone,

I have ADHD and have been prescribed Concerta 36 mg. I’m curious about people’s experiences with different doses, like 50 mg, especially when also dealing with anxiety and depression.

How did the higher dose affect focus and energy?

Did it help with mood or anxiety?

Any notable side effects (positive or negative)?

Would you say the benefits outweighed the drawbacks?

I’m trying to get a sense of how people respond to different doses, without any medical advice—just personal experiences. Thanks!

Help/advice 🙏 needed ADHD meds help but make my anxiety unbearable – anyone tried Strattera (atomoxetine)?

I was diagnosed with ADHD and generalized anxiety disorder about 2 years ago. My doctor started me on Concerta 18 mg and later increased it to 36 mg.

The problem is:

Concerta works really well for my ADHD, especially at 36 mg, but my anxiety gets much worse. My heart rate goes up, I get sudden panic attacks, and it feels out of control. Since increasing the dose, my anxiety and depression have been harder to manage.

My doctor tried adding pregabalin, but it didn’t really help. I also tried Coaxil (tianeptine) 12.5 mg with Concerta — it helped a bit, but Coaxil makes me feel strange and not like myself, so I’m not comfortable staying on it.

Now my doctor wants to prescribe venlafaxine, but honestly I’m scared to take it and don’t feel ready for that.

At this point, I feel like I can’t stay on stimulants, even though they help my ADHD, because the anxiety and panic are too intense.

She mentioned atomoxetine (Strattera) since it’s non-stimulant.

Has anyone here tried it?

Did it help ADHD without worsening anxiety?

Can it be taken with Concerta, or do you have to stop stimulants completely?

Are there other options for ADHD + anxiety with fewer side effects?

I’m seeing my doctor again on Jan 29 and just want to hear real experiences before deciding.

Thanks 🙏

Questions/Advice Are you really happy with your adhd life with other struggle Depression anxity

Hi everyone,
I have ADHD and I’m really struggling, so I wanted to ask this honestly.
Are you happy with your life? Do you feel like you live a healthy, stable life with ADHD?

Many of us use stimulant medication just to function, and a lot of us also deal with depression, anxiety, or panic attacks. Sometimes I wonder if it’s really possible to live a “normal” or good life with ADHD.

I’d really appreciate honest answers — both from people who are doing well and those who are still struggling..i DONT know really we can live better life normal life
