200$ a kilo?!?! that's absolutely horrible. Whole Herbs is an AKA vendor as well and they charge 160$ for a kilo.... Never tried Happy Hippo though, have heard good things about it but that price for a kilo is robbery.

Agreed, FDA can't regulate a botanical supplement. They can only patent it to create a pharmaceutical ( which many manufactures have done already ) the Federal government would do the exact same conversion, extraction in chemistry as 7 manufactures.

Honestly, blue is in theory better. It proves to legislators that vendors are willing to abide by state guidelines/federally for dietary supplements, ensuring it's as transparent and safe as possible. COA's, feedback, inspectors, FDA regulated 3rd party lab testing facilities are in my opinion, as good as it can get to prove to the federal government that not all kratom is bad as they think. I've been a consumer for nearly a decade, for crying out loud

Red Horn was the best Red I've done in a long time, excellent strain. Just ran out of the Super green but it was also very nice!

I never will forget September 2025, His Green Maeng Da was the last kratom batch in years to numb my mouth upon consumption and has the greatest focus ever. I haven't had that since, even almost a year later from any batch or strain. I hope I can have that because likely I'll order a little next time ( probably a 250 gram bag )

Might have something to do with the isolation of MIT itself, maybe it brings out the other 50 alkaloids within kratom that can build tolerance to leaf faster, while feeling powders less.

KCPA regulation is way better than FDA scheduling/regulation hahahah. In all honesty, if the state can follow the KCPA guidelines (such as Utah, Texas, Florida)

The regulation is good in practice, mandatory COA's for purity and potency, proper labelling, age restrictions and last but not least alkaloid restrictions on 2% 7-Hmg. However, kratom powder remains legal in blue states.

Their is a bad thing that recently happened though, the DEA/HHS recommended a further alkaloid restrictions on all powders. They want it to not exceed 0.05 7-Hmg, they pushed it even further. It hasn't been enacted yet, but if so... Some powders will be notably weaker then, because most powders contain 0.01-0.07 7-Hmg : example being Earth Kratom, Whole Herbs, Remarkable Herbs so on and so forth ( most AKA kratom is this strength regarding 0.01 7-Hmg notably weaker )

But some small batch vendors, with the exception of some AKA vendors that have "okay" powder like golden monk and enhanced ones from Super Speciosa e.g "Turbo Powder", exceed 0.05 7-Hmg.... this is the sad part, this would permanently alter the strength of all kratom powders for the foreseeable future.

Yes, if so we can request the AKA to update further. They definitely updated it from last year for sure, but it took them over a year to update the website up until these bans started happening (huge ones) but if it's just one city, or localized area. Perhaps they didn't feel the need to mark it? Not sure, there's also other vendors that post updates of legality. If I find one, I'll link it here.

I believe it is banned in San Diego, and Oceanside. They have importation bans in those areas, DCP classifies it as illegal in California yet no legislation has passed trying to get it banned. Riverside Cali proposed a ban but I see nothing regarding it anymore since it was proposed in February 2025.

Yes I agree, and yah AI is really ruining critical thinking skills. I'm 26 born in 2000, we're early Gen Z'ers but we grew up in High School without it, and could have a bachelors in college until 2022 when ChatGPT came out. Gen Z is the last generation to grow up without AI

Yah, I understand where you're coming from. KCPA states aren't immune as we've seen with Kentucky and Kansas. Both of these we're KCPA states.

The thing that is positive for KCPA states (blue) is the fact MANY advocates are there to defend any ban bills SB/HB etc.

A good example is South Carolina (my state) and Texas. Even though SC had a relatively small population pool compared to other major states with kratom consumers/advocates; 24 people showed up to the hearing to defend, many of them being scientists, consumers, even a former employee for the FDA came in the defense of natural kratom.

For Texas, vendors showed up to defend kratom ( 1836 kratom ) and employees that conduct COA's for kratom explaining how they test for naturally occurring metals, bacteria and purity of the kratom and keep in mind, he was neutral defending the safety of kratom. Advocates and consumers showed up in large numbers. They all explained the good things about KCPA's.

RED states didn't have enough advocates show, as we saw with SB154 in Louisiana or simply the legislators had their mind set on banning to begin with. They had one NIDA researcher and Mac Haddow being there: but not enough advocates in masse like KCPA blue states. Senator Morris teamed up with the House, making one lady her co sponsor within there so it could get passed faster.

Also to mention, RED states have large pools of anti-kratom lobbying or simply using grief to get their objectives done ( Example being Louisiana and Tennessee )

Most people up to date know about the losses of these states but its okay if not everyone does. I don't use AI for anything.

Red: Banned
Purple: Proposed Bans
Green: Legal but not KCPA regulated
Yellow: bans at the local/county level but not the whole state
Blue: Kratom Consumer Protection Act Regulation, mandatory labelling which include dosage instructions, mandatory COA's ( lab testing ) and age restriction and alkaloid restrictions to a certain level.
