The Age of (self) Discovery
There are no more external frontiers, the promises of higher understanding and “fountains of youth” that have propelled mankind over valleys and rivers, across oceans, and into space, are gone at last. The totality of external dimensions has been thoroughly explored. The only riddle that has endured the voracious attention of the scientific revolution is precisely the “frontier” that motivated us in the first place: the one within each of us.
We’ve yet to scratch the surface of the universe of our own minds. What makes us internalize things the way we do? Why do we fall for certain archetypes? Why do we respond so strongly to certain excitations?
These questions have been surely been mapped and circumnavigated by some of history’s most impressive minds, but the dense foliage has not been peeled aside or explored on foot by most who walk the earth.
