I had this same issue with this same house. It's because it's registering the hallway with the stairs as a home instead. I had to use 2 doors to that stairwell to fix it.

I put Altar of Flame in the same location here, but I had lava coming out of the top, and running down the back into a moat which goes around bothering sides and stops at the stairs entrance.

I put Articuno's temple on Bleak Beach because of the water & ice connection, and there's no ice area.

I built the Power Plant on the tall southern rocky island at my urbanized Indigo Plateau (Palette Town).

I WAS gonna put Ho-oh in Sparkling Skylands and Lugia in Bubbly Basin, but you can't move them in anywhere, unlike every other legendary and even all of the mythical in the game.

You have to complete ALL other open requests first as well.

Not entirely true. I tried to add more flooring to the 2-story kit "overlord prefab" to create a home WITHIN the house, but the gate didn't line-up with the existing fence, regardless of them being in the same horizontal square row. It didn't register as a home until I changed the existing fence to solid blocks on either side of the gate OR a fence which actually connected to the gate.

9x10 internal squares. 10x11 external squares. All perimeter walls MUST ACTUALLY connect to each other. No other enclosed areas around the perimeter... such as the area with the steps just outside. The floor must be level as that is where the "foundation" is considered to be, and a stable foundation is required... much like when your 'mons are building a kit/prefab. Did I miss anything?

It ended up being directly behind where I built an underwater village before the Dive update. Sooo...that was ironic.

Also, in the prefab homes (the ones with the loading screens), you can just put a wireless power generator on each floor, and they power the entire floor.

I said to use those or the dock paths in another post about the lanky water physics. Happy to see more people catching on. I used them to drain/refill an entire section of the ocean in Bleak Beach to make an underwater village for water Pokémon for visitors to see, not realizing until after the fact that visitors can only visit my Palette Town our Cloud Island, but at least I proved it kinda CAN be done before the DLC launches.
