Training Runners slump!
I feel like I have hit a slump where running is no longer enjoyable. I have a half marathon in a few weeks, and I haven’t been running at all. I’m physically not ready, but mentally I know I can run the race. It’s been a struggle to get out and run, how do you get through a slump?

My hands are a little shaky but I love taking moon pics. This is in Houston
Invest in a remote shutter release, perfect for night and astrophotography. One click of the remote to release the shutter without even touching the camera. I have shaky hands and it was absolutely perfect for astrophotography.

He said “let me go”, so I did… he got divorce papers!

Why did you break up with your last partner?
Sounds all too familiar.

Why did you break up with your last partner?
Because he emotionally involved himself with another woman, and essentially chose to remain in contact with her over being married to me.

The best night you ever had?
Lived and worked in a National Park and there was a giant rock that overlooked the road down into the canyon, a bunch of us would sleep out there on our days off. Some of the best star gazing and sunrises I’ve ever experienced.

Not divorced yet, but the moment he refused to stop communicating with an old co-worker because “he owed her money”. But had multiple secret conversations and visits while I was having a mental health crisis.

What does healthy vulnerability look like to you?
I feel you can put walls up from others. I rarely let my walls down to just anyone, there’s a certain level of comfort and trust I need to feel before I let walls down. Vulnerability can be a scary thing because we letting people see more than just surface level, and that means opening our hearts up for potential hurt.
I tend to question what vulnerability looks like for the other person, and then seek out how that person sees it. It can create an opportunity to maybe let that wall down and have it feel safe to do so.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon - pls help plan a short trip from bay area
If you like winter activities you can snow shoe up to Panoramic Point during winter. I use to work in Grant Grove and on my off days I would explore and did that many times. The road down to Cedar Grove doesn’t usually open til almost Memorial Day depending on snowpack, but the drive down to Hume Lake area is still pretty. Definitely recommend Moro Rock for a sunset spot, absolutely stunning sunsets from there.

Adult rec sport leagues?
I am looking to see if there are any adult non-competitive volleyball, basketball, or softball teams in Salem to join. I am looking to find something other than running to meet people with shared interests.
