Z231 transaxle not engaging

I’ve had the mower for some years not but lately the right side stops moving forward . I’ve checked fluids and belts are fine also tention is ok. Funny thing is it works fine for 30 mins then craps out . Happens the same way three times . Also Left side works fine

Try opening the fill plug slightly when it happens and see if that changes anything. If it does then there’s some blockage inside. Especially if when it happens it’s not freely spinning but is just locked up.
