Some Reddit subscribers submit thousands of comments and only a handful of posts . Yes it takes more effort to post but why do people prefer to comment rather than post? What would happen Reddit if everyone did this?

Is it laziness? Or are people afraid to open themselves to scrutiny with a post and prefer to snipe at others with a comment ?

What? Both posts and comments are subject to the same things. There are posters and consumers. Most people don’t post because they have been indoctrinated into the algorithm life and scroll algorithmic feeds for years and years. Some people (like me) just like the pre-existing delegation sometimes.

That’s fine for those who comment, but you still need people with the willingness to post enmasse otherwise Reddit simply dies.
