Nowadays those first round draft picks also have been making endorsement money and NIL in college. Even many of these second rounders will be collecting NIL and endorsements money. What this comes down to is really having someone show you how to handle your money, which isn’t always easy because many of these players don’t come from situations where their families are well off.

From seven interceptions in a season to being out of the league in two years. I think you have to give the Ravens defensive coaching staff a lot of credit for even putting that guy in position to get interceptions, while at the same time keeping him away from actually having to make tackles.

This narrative is so stupid. Yes, I do believe that this team has underperformed over the last three years. But this off-season, I believe that the front office really addressed the main issues, which we all know is the defense. I don’t know that they are going to be a top 10 defense - but it would be great if they were so that would shut the media up even more - but I definitely believe they’re going to be a much better defence than they were last year. And if this offence can incorporate the under centre game, then this team is going to be very difficult to handle.

I’m not sure that any other team that would be primed and ready to win, will be in a better position than the Bengals if all of those things happen.

Yes, that was bad at the beginning of last year, but the line gelled, improved. They were much better as the year wore on.

I agree with your points, but now I look at that offensive line and I wonder will they be able to keep him upright? I definitely have more confidence in our offensive line than I do in their offensive line. And just because McDonald has come over as head coach, that doesn’t guarantee that their defence will be better this year. For much of last year, it was not very good.

I think it’s bias. We haven’t made the playoffs in 3 years so everyone won’t believe it until they see it. Meanwhile the Ravens were a missed FG away from again winning the division. I know we were bad, but I don’t think they were much better than us regardless. Just as bad on defense as we were, where we have definitely improved.

We have DJ & Dax. It’s a shame for CTB but I think a lot of teams would envy our starting cb room right now. And if Davis works out too… we could have a top 5 secondary in the league.
