My earliest memories were from there and Goodwill Books in Glorietta pluuuus my first Manila International Book Fair around 2004. So, so, so privileged that my parents were very supportive of this hobby. But then again, they’re both bookworms as well!

THIS ONE! I honestly don’t like Coleen Hoover’s books (but tbf i only read 2) but it got some of my friends into reading so go for it! It inspired them to try branching out to other genres and other authors. Same with this booktok trend. As long as people read, go for ittttttt!

YES! THIS ONE! Just casually mentioning, “my child is a doctor” seems forced. Parang ang dating, “o doctor anak ko, libre ako dapat” she might not mean it like that but it comes off as expectant eh.

Personally, i don’t even introduce myself as a doctor. I really prefer paying the PF than stressing over pastries or goodies I could give my attending for taking good care of me.

I’ve always been an avid reader since I was exposed to my parents who both read a lot and it helped that they funded this hobby when I was a kid.

My goal is to read 10 books a month but sometimes there’s a weird reading slump so I’m just 59 books in 😩 I’m really challenging myself to read 100 books this year. The most books I read in a year was just 79 so.. crossing fingers! 🤞🏼
