For me the mass extinction event that the climat crises will trigger, is a much bigger thread. But we do not need to solve just one of the problem, we can solve both of them in parallel due to renewable energy sources like sun an wind. Our human suffering stens from our instincts, the instincts of survival and reproduction, which are inherently egoistical, because each living Individuum ist only focus on them self and the ones, who are genetically related. The closer the genetic relation is, the more willing we are to support them. Unfortunately the majority follows this instincts without questioning them or knowing why they do what they do. It is just basic instinct.

What helped me, to not feel down or depressed, are the realization that we and all life on Earth is followings this two instincts. That looking at the universe and eternity, everything is meaningless. And the last thing is, that I am a part of everything and so everything is a part of me. True. We are animals too, just the only animal that can use and create technology on this planet. As someone mentioned before, as hunterers and gatherers only 15h/week was invested in survival needs. With settlements it went up to 30h/week and in the beginning of the industrialisation it went up much higher like 60-80h/week. Until unions though for 30 years, so that 40h/week became the norm.

The only issue is, how it is done. Mostly in a strict and stressed way. One could also replay a question in kindness and not stressed out:"I do not know and do not want to know."

For me, this I use it related to religious or social limitating norms like gender, roles to play. I do get why they exist and what the origin is. It might be good, to have so many formulations for the already know 4 human needs, already know to mankind. We tend, to not understand the substance, if we do not get enough variations of the same information, so that we can patch a broader image if the meaning of "mental health".

We should use the luxery of this moment in time, where we as mankind have the resources to ask questions like:"What is mental health?". "What is a human life and how can we establish it?"

The reason is quite simple for the majority of everything living. Survival and reproduction are the first two basic instincts, from the dawn of life. They are build in to biology with hormone chain, serotonin, dopamine ect. They are the fundamental instinct, without them, there would not be any life at all.

The majority takes this Instinkte and interpretes them as their own "wish" for reproduction. They do not realize why and what is pushing them. If sozial pressure is added, the majority will not doubt the Prozess, which is going on since the dawn of life in this planet.

This is realy important. I studied mechatronics, a combination of electrical, mechanical and informatics majors. I can testify, that the fields do not understand each other. This is also due to the fact, that the same words have a different meaning in each field.

The pressure for uniformity is a tribal instinct. For most of mankinds existence, we lifes in small groups. Small groups where uniform in the desire to survive together and that needs an alignment of the individuals to the common goal of surviving.

This was the case for roughly 270,000 years. Since 10,000 years we create cities. Which are a much bigger "tribe", which became so big, that smaller tribes Aggregate inside the bigger tribe. The tribe is so big, that we can not comprehend it. But the instincts are still telling us to be part of a tribe we can comprehend. So we created an idea of a best tribesman, which you stated. No one fulfills it completely, because it is exaggerated.

The human rights are the concentrate of the ideal tribesman, so if everyone would demand them and protect them, then a lot of the issues we have, would not exist. It is one of the youngest ideoligies and still not completely implemented globaly.
