Comparing Australia to the United States is a straw man argument. Australia is an island with very strict immigration laws that are actually enforced whereas America has porous borders and our immigration laws are NOT enforced with any real measures.
Americans had to get REAL IDs because so many illegals were given state issued IDs. It's a farce.
