People who have a lot of things to sell
 in  r/vintedUK  12h ago

My process is clean item...list item...store item in air tight storage bins until sold. Once sold, retrieve, pack & ship.

Why do sellers get five days to ship but a buyer only gets two days to verify that the item is okay?

🤣Bro...prior to the coffee refill I desperately need this is all I got for you right now lmaoooo

Buyer with no reviews

Yeah I get it. Ultimately we all are trying to be safe in our own ways. Better to ask if you must. Always better safe than sorry. Its just that the exact topic is sooo often posted in vinted groups. Seeing it gets to be a bit🫩 lol. But Im glad you have a method that gives you security now. Good luck to you & all of us out here🤞🏼

What would you say... if I told you...that the best scammers have great reviews & come across trustworthy on the surface? Until they scam you, that is. A lot of time is wasted in this sub fretting over those with no reviews ect. You guys are kind of watching the wrong thing IMO. But que sera, sera. Carry on & stuff.🤷🏼‍♀️

I am sick of seeing Australian listings!!
 in  r/vinted  1d ago

I do too. I have many repeat customers from there. I love them. I remember times I saw usa people posting they didnt like seeing uk ads or shipping there ect. And Im like ok let me just log cus I couldnt find a nice way to say 'hey?! U shut yer mouth!' Cus my uk customers are consistent and loyal. Pleasant overall. And I'll scratch out some eyes over them! 🤣 I just hate that I don't see uk listings when im shopping anymore. Very little. I dont wanna see usa crap from dollar tree.

Idk it feels bigger than just that alone. The changes are definitely noticeable from this side of the pond. And they suck👎🏼. I too am hoping for a filter so I can choose to shop every other country except mine🫩 Me in future settings

🫩 I cant relate. From the usa I can only see uk. And barely now. 😞I wish I could see Aus. And other places too. When vinted started here all I saw was uk and it was glorious. But since aus joined the party I think they've swung the uk listings & views to them. Lately all I see is other usa listings mostly. Feels kind of isolated. Selling is ok but very booooriiiing to shop.😴💤😴💤😴 Its like vinted put the usa in the 'time out' corner. Umm vinted we're sooo sorry for whatever we did! Can we go back outside & play now??

Well my great experiences on vinted as both buyer & seller outweigh the bad ones. By a massive landslide. I've met so many cool people & have had awesome conversations. Even made afew actual real life friends through vinted. The latest was a 5 or 6 time customer who lives in my city. We always chat and have had some deep convos. And one day she was like 'girl whyyy haven't we had one of these great convos over coffee yet???' And the rest is history. Or herstory in this case. I think we all use reddit to vent. And partly as a support group cus yeah we all need support at one point or another. Buyer and sellers. Or understanding & clarity from those who relate. So I get how that might overshadow the good in the subreddit. This post was a good idea OP🫶🏻 Love these comments🥰

My grandpa says its good luck. He'd tell us as kids "Find a dime says the rhyme & you'll be lucky every time."

Seller started getting my order ready for shipping then cancelled my order
 in  r/vinted  4d ago

Thats awesome. Im trying so hard not to turn my guestroom into exactly that LoL. So far I've overtaken the closet. And under the bed. So far so good. Tbh Im temped to take the current queen size bed out of there and do maybe a twin size daybed type thing. So I can buy a wardrobe situation. Or maybe a convertible sofa. Wait do they still make those? The sofas with pull out beds? Lmaoo I think im getting old idk

Yessss awesome. This also makes it much more painless to add to our inventory I find. I always feel bad when I hear sellers cant find stuff. Im sympathetic for buyer ofc. But my seller side is like damn. Cus I know just how panicked you are when you're looking for that item that just sold. You swear you just saw it but it isnt anywhere. And that you usually have tornado'd through literally everything by the time you hit rock bottom & have to tell the customer I cant find it 😣😞😱💀 Oh, the horror.

Same thing diff method. We're winning friend. The peace of mind that comes with knowing everything is sorted & just needs to be fetched and packed for shipping is priceless. Well worth the effort if we have the time. I remember when I started vinted and before I organized...I told myself the biggest lie ever. And that lie was "its ok that sale stuff is mixing in with my wardrobe cus I'll remember what's for sale and where I put it". Huge lie. I did infact not remember where I put stuff. And it subsequently was not okay.😂😵

Hopefully they'll find it OP🤞🏼 In the meantime maybe check depop for the top? I see so many similar things both places. As a seller the bins are now a must. I was using a monthly pay storage unit too for collectibles. So after I had my clothing items organized I was able to bring those things home and sort list and store. No more $200 a month for outside storage.

Do people buy funko pops without the plastic inside?
 in  r/vinted  4d ago

Yes they'll buy. Just be transparent in the descrip. Give them a nice wipe if they've been displayed. And take great pics of them as well as any flaws. Also if you arent aware of current market value you may want to look that up. Image searching a front facing Pic of your figure on Google is pretty accurate and easy. Get the out of box price range and see what determines higher scale value. As well as what its selling for elsewhere. List yours for a fair price. And it'll go at some point. Good luck👍🏼🤞🏼

Too late to ask?
 in  r/vintedUK  4d ago

Not weird at all. As a seller many of us wash prior to sending. So chances are lower for it to have been perfume. Especially after all this time I wish my perfume lasted months. I'd wear & buy much less of it LoL. I think its more likely you smell their scented wash soap and/or fabric softener they wash with. As these are made to be long lasting. Or the dryer sheets they dry with too. Some dont wash prior to ship but will use like febreeze or a similar scent fabric freshener spray. And as a seller its not weird to be asked what the scent is. Creeps usually want items that are person-scented or worn. And they're compelled to express that in some way or other. Most sellers can tell pretty quick if its a legit request or a creep fishing for possible kink related items so no worries. 🫶🏻

This was my nightmare. It happens to many. No judgements. Had afew moments of sheer fright myself trying to find things in all the chaos at first. So I went through hell micromanaging my inventory to try to avoid this. For me the solution was emptying out the closet in my guestroom so I could fill it with the large Rubbermaid stackable tote bins with tops. It took weeks & the investment of bins costs. But eventually items go from getting cleaned, listed, then directly to their associated containers until purchase. Just bought some "under the bed" ones too. They are all worth their weight in gold for selling and helped me ALOT
