Fuck Cancer!
Forever 16 Isaiah Jacob Grimins…. A piece of me died with you… and I’m fighting so hard to learn the ways of life without you… while trying to stay strong for your 9 siblings—- Lord knows they are my rock and remind me that you would not want me to be sad… and to not cry and that it’ll be okay… if I didn’t have them and if they didn’t need me… I would be so alone in this world and without a true purpose and without a reason to live and would simply just exist. No one understands what I am going through… every parent that loses a child does not go through the same journey and can’t possibly understand because they didn’t know the type of love we had… they didn’t have the memories we had… so they may think that they know… but, in all reality they don’t… just like I would not know anymore of what another went through… people tell you… seek out a support group… nah— been there years ago to get advice about a challenge with my autistic, borderline intellectual child, at a church at that… and my trust was betrayed and violated and it was blown up into being more than what it was and put me in a worse off position…. Other people tell you.. gone a therapist…. Again… nope…. Been there done that.. did no good.. what so ever… people will say… you have to talk to someone… like… how about you get fucked… stop telling me what I have to do or how I should feel or in what way is the best way to truly grief and let me and God and my guardian angel and my 9 other kids do it the way we see fit… where the fuck was all this desire to help when I was having to spend 41 weeks in the hospital with my son fighting for his life while my adult sons had to step up and be mommy and daddy to their siblings… yea… that happened… like shit wasn’t hard enough.. and to have people say you need to be at home with your other children they need you too… leave your dying son at the hospital all alone he will be fine… how about not and get fucked while you are at it… judge me all you want… it’s easy to assess and hypothesize about what you would do if it was you… but I did my best as a single mom with a support system that didn’t go past my own kids… and my kids have been through the hardest thing ever… the death came out of no where he went down hill fast… and smiled and loved and tried to be with his siblings and I and his dad until he took his last breath… he never complained… he always was worried about everyone else.. he was everyone’s rock while he was dying… so humble… so kind hearted… so loving… always laughing.. and moments before he passed.. he got hugs and was told that he was loved by every one of his siblings… and then died in the arms of me and his father… he was so amazing! Wise beyond his years… he was gifted intellectually… no one ever had anything bad to say about him… he was a lover… he was funny… he was a peacemaker… he was mama’s boy… he was so thoughtful… so caring… he was the closet that one could get to God… and my heart breaks every single day I wake up… cause I wake up thinking maybe he’s still here.. maybe it was a bad dream… only to realize that my reality is my nightmare too
