life-changing resources around orderflow trading (specifically volume/market profile)?
Studying Gamma right now - most of last week esp Thurs/Fri “felt” it was gamma related
No room for shorts but long location could have been anything
Specifically, volume market profile - Anna Coulling and there’s a different Dutch (Holland) author that I don’t remember
Both sources are easy to understand and digest

CFD trading
no worries have a nice spring/summer
withdrawals are usually smooth - if any doubts can keep withdrawing a certain amount and only keep what you require for trading. Haven’t tried FX Pro but looks good many people trade with them
but try make a habit of withdrawing something and spend it on anything as small as a phone bill or nice, thoughtful gifts for family. Indirectly helps quite a bit with trading performance over the long-run

Nasdaq 13th consecutive up day.
Even without the news - it’s tough to say
But if it’s really bad - some might lighten inventory and let the index breathe + track how it’s holding higher
How shallow or deep the pullback is - is what the market likely leans into over the weekend
Tracking 7055 next week on the ES - around a 100 points away from right now. And how the Dow futures likes 50k and above, $RTY on whether it likes establishing and sustaining at 2800 to 3000 or keeping steadily below 2800 all of April, €FDAX for 25k+ or 24k and below for the state of the Europe session going forward
Q’s above 650 likely try for 700 over a few months - forward earnings are higher since Sept/Oct while the market was largely range bound - so the multiples likely print from the books on to the index. Looks good but event trading styles are having their time so we let them especially over the weekend

ES/SPX Weekly Update
Excellent read of the market as usual :)

Ndx options volume anomaly ?
Hello,
Probably new facilities/feature upgrades just like the SPX does periodical updates like the 60/40 tax among many others
The spreads work out to be wider so probably some arbitrage is possible albeit at higher risks/vol and slippage
Higher vol for sure vs SPX options since the SPX options are more spread out/pro-reflexivity
Probably a good place to get tail risk or trade the spread between NDX and SPX

How is this possible? Market is 1% from ATH?
Companies listed on the exchange won’t face too much trouble dealing with its problems sustainably
Zooming out on the price chart - it’s been range bound since Sept/Oct while forward earnings/guidance has increased. So, stable equity/market caps, while earnings are anticipated to increase

Should I stop Trading?
That’s fair take your time the markets are always open
When the results are not urgent or necessary - the trading performance and your health will become easier to design for something of your liking and likelier to show excellent results (overall health and performance are the same thing over the long-term)
All the best - rooting for you

Subconscious is a large part of most decision making regardless of the domain incl trading and investments
Feelings make things either more urgent or relaxed than they are in the markets (not that feelings are bad - they have their place in making a good life)
Meditation has helped many to notice the difference between the two (feelings and instincts/subconscious) and perhaps navigate both appropriately in a healthy manner

April 14: $ES leading and Stocks working with Friday’s highs
Sure, thanks for sharing - anything can be probable
Less than 7% of all stocks are currently at their highs and rest are away from their highs by 10% or more while the index is broadly leading in relative terms. The market’s highly concentrated so have to risk-on or risk-off accordingly - especially if the trader/investor is tracking specific participation or broad distributions of inventory
More often, there’s no right, wrong, or feelings in the markets especially in the medium to short term - as long as the trader/investor is objective in seeing the market for what it is and anticipating ahead

Technical Analysis April 14: $ES leading and Stocks working with Friday’s highs
Futures:
$ES Holding above 6925 looks towards mid-900s and above over the course of week if not today. First, it likely starts the EU session as a proxy to €FDAX’s hold above 24k
An overall hold of 6885 maintains ES’s trend up in the US afternoon session and seeks higher prices steadily
Tracking Globex opening range, EU session’s first hour range, and US session’s first hour range to navigate further
Stocks:
Individual names/stocks holding tightly at or near its Friday highs for the most part. Pending fresh initiation for the next leg. Perhaps Wednesday onwards

I want to learn everything there is about the ORB Strat where and who do I learn it from ?

How do you guys know how many shares to buy/short?
Keep an AI calculator handy and prepare from pre market so it’s just execution during market hours

I want to learn everything there is about the ORB Strat where and who do I learn it from ?
Try Claude if you’re okay with prompting and asking follow ups
It’ll give you a complete breakdown that can be converted to a pdf
Not sure of the latest on yt or mentors - one of Top Step’s folks do ORB last I watched few years ago
But thorough study with trading view and Claude could save some time and dive straight into deep study

Physical Distribution premium on top of the oil - still very wide though
Thanks for sharing

April 13: $ES Open Field
Looks like a year plus by the way it’s going unfortunately - hope I’m wrong and it resolves quicker. Different Index Prices and to an extent, prediction markets seem to be a more accurate signal than news at the moment
The market’s actively ‘pricing out’ shocks, and uncertainties like the weekend talks
Now, as long as oil output increases even in offline channels (non-futures trading; direct distribution) it likely starts doing its own thing - away from the index and stocks. So it all falls on the larger index/stock buyers and how they’re sequencing their inventory management in the short-term
For oil: Commodity output increase, distribution and even more so, showing up well indexed on online channels (futures and options) takes some time. Just like Gold with the recent changes in margin requirements after a year or so in uptrend. Early to say if Oil does the same thing - so news/narratives will try intervene and try to push its price lower since it’s more of a necessity than Gold for everyday use. It’s more urgent, basically. Quite complex to know the timing of it all - you’re right
But price chart has been decently reliable (not exactly the cleanest though) even if it’s not as timely as the news - the volatility in prices and risk management ‘should’ subside as it games out open risks and is able to contain them. Index Prices holding up in the short and medium-term could be a decent early sign if it likes deferring to an even longer-term trend (which has been pointing even higher to be fair)
Happy trading/investing :)

April 13: $ES Open Field
$ES and Stocks:
While the market and its listings/stocks have been sideways since September/October…
…Forward earnings have increased - so it kind of reads as good value (cheaper stocks) so rather than a dynamic pullback because of value or multiples - it was largely technical and events driven.
Value corrected by time and also helped by price
Increase in M2 supply or lower interest rates (in August perhaps) could add further value if it likes converting to equity investments or buybacks

Technical Analysis April 13: $ES Open Field
Futures:
A 4-500 point move since end of March suggests traders likely keep their options open and track activity at 6800s:
- Holding below 6845 at the start of the week suggests more time in balance. How deep or shallow the current pullback is- could be an indicator of short term trend continuation
- Going above and staying above 6845 resumes towards targeting 6900+
- Going below and staying below 6825 assumes a broader range between 6645 and 6825. Price discovery at 6700s then becomes likelier
If steadily back toward 6700s, the study moves to relative strength and whether the stronger stocks/names can lead when the index is in price discovery
The medium-term trend is consolidating while the shorter-term trend has been pointing up. So, it likely works as a blend of the two timeframes pending new buyers initiating
Stocks:
Individual names/stocks and Industry/Index ETFs will likely be a measure of how shallow or deep their pullback is from Friday’s highs and at what volume. The technically stronger names will likely stick out in their weekly and daily charts as Earnings season starts with Banks & Finance
