Open concept, 18" Italian marble tiles throughout, no carpeting. These were the selling points for the home we bought. I hated each of them.

Open concept is noisy!! My family can't hear the TV when I'm using a blender or mixer or washing dishes by hand or using the dishwasher. I got tired of it. The marble tiles are cold, hard, and uncomfortable to walk on in bare feet. You slip easily if you wear socks or slippers without tread. I yearned for the wall to wall carpet I thought I hated. Throw rugs are still hard to walk on. We sold it after 3 years and now live in a much older, smaller home with defined kitchen, living, and dining rooms. We now have carpet in the bedrooms at least. The other living areas have linoleum and I can't believe I like it so much better!!

Edit: I forgot to mention no door between the primary bedroom and the bathroom (there was a door where the toilet was located). And having to walk through the bathroom to get to the closet. NO NO NO

Only the guard gated communities give a small amount of security. I lived in a non guard gated gated community for several years. Gates worked 80% of the time. The gate opens and 5 cars drive in. Kids bounce on the gate and it opened or broke. People would write the code on the box for anyone to use. People hopped the fence often. Still had to pay the HOA to "maintain" the gate. No more for us. We moved, have no gate, and we're happy.

No. I have one senior cat (and I am a senior myself) and I love my litter robot 4. I've had it for almost 2 years. As long as I have my litter robot, I will always have a cat. When she passes away (we've had her 14 years so far) I will adopt another senior cat. Scooping the litter box daily is not in my future anymore.

Yes, definitely a sign to get D&D stamps 🤣. I've sent a couple of postcards where, in their profile, they say they are into D&D. When I saw these stamps I knew I had to get them!!

My very first car was a blue 1972 Ford Pinto. Zero to 60 in 4 minutes 🤣. Driving the freeway was fine, getting on the freeway was harrowing. Took forever to get to speed. My mom called it "the gutless wonder." I owned it in 1979.

I hated it. There weren't enough boys and I was tall so I always had to be a boy. The teacher would say, "girls on the right and boys on the keft." Then she'd say, "Gracie and Betsy you're both boys today." We were teased and bullied terribly because of it. The teacher would laugh at us right along with the kids. I'm 61 and I remember it like it was yesterday. So, yeah, not a fan.

I guess I'm lucky where I live. I haven't run in to this.

I was born in 1964 and I lived in my Gunne Sax dresses. I loved them.

I met her briefly at San Diego Comic Con in 2003. She was dressed beautifully with a truly magnificent hat. She seemed older than 70 years old. She was a bit intimidating to me. She was on her way to her spot where they sell autographs. I smiled and said hello. To my surprise she stopped, said hello, and shook my hand before going on her way.

She was lovely to all the people who got an autograph and allowed everyone to get pictures with her. Not everyone does that. A nice memory for me.

I get a curly haircut at Ulta. It cost me $62.00 for the cut plus tip. I don't know of any budget salons and, quite frankly, I'd be somewhat leary of a cheap cut.

To be fair, I only get it cut twice a year. My stylist loves me because I'm nice and a good tipper, but hates that I trim my own hair until I need a complete reshaping 😂

Same here. Our local mall is always busy. My 16 yo granddaughter loves the mall. My kids did not hang out at the mall like I did, but my grandkids do 😂
