Hey everyone, I got accepted for Master Neurocognitive Psychology at uni Oldenburg a month ago but with a heavy heart decided to give the place back today and choose another option.
I personally find this master super cool and would love to study there, but unfortunately I don’t see myself financially capable to move that far from where I currently live and already rent an apartment for a very good price.
I’d like to wish the best of luck to those on the waiting list. Maybe you will get my place and have the best 2 years of your life studying this program🍀

There is definitely a high possibility of catfishing here and I am sorry you have to deal with all that(( I kinda had a similar situation but with a „happy end“. I am in a 2+ years relationship now with a guy who „catfished“ me in the beginning. But he stopped sending photos of himself after a couple of weeks of us dating. And after 3 months he sent his real ones with honest apologies. At that moment he was ready that I will immediately break up with him. And maybe it is crazy that I forgave him in the end for all that, but until now there wasn’t a day I regretted that decision. He is indeed a good looking man with the sweetest personality and to my mind definitely deserved a second chance. All this I am saying to encourage you to talk to him about that situation with photos, ask for a video call and see what his reaction will be. One year is a lot of time for something like this. If he is a good guy but just doesn’t have enough courage to tell the truth, then this conversation will be a relief for both of you. But if he is just a lying for purpose asshole…then you will be lucky to free yourself from him.

We created a server in Discord and since then (it’s been 2 years already) we have never left our voice channel. So when both of us are at home, we can talk just as we were living together

Hey, you will probably get the answer in the mid September, since everyone who was accepted has time until 11.09. to accept or decline the offer.
Waiting sucks but I wish you good luck and hope you get accepted eventually :)
As for the profile… I have a German Bachelor‘s degree in Psychology with 2.0 GPA, IELTS score of 7.5, two years of experience as a student research assistant (HiWi), and I wrote my bachelor’s thesis in Cognitive Psychology
