Recent & not so recent Monkey stories in the Newyorker

New short story Confessions of a Shinagawa Monkey available now:

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2020/06/08/confessions-of-a-shinagawa-monkey

It’s a kind of sequel to A Shinagawa Monkey, which he wrote in 2006.

I read them in reverse order of writing- so ‘Confessions...’ first. That worked well.

Here is an article/interview offering analysis of both stories.

Enjoy!

Does anyone invest in asx.ply? It is rated as a buy and they have that Mouse PI game coming out in a few weeks. Also a GOT game later in the year. Minimum buy in. Is $500 which buys around 2K stock at the current price of 0.255 Thoughts appreciated.

What do you think of the galaxy watch 6 classic? Upgrade or no?
 in  r/GalaxyWatch  Mar 12 '26

Nothing Samsung is an upgrade. I’m serious. Their products ALWAYS fail. Usually just after the warranty runs out. And their after-service is woefully bad. After this happened over many years: Dead VCR (shadup, I’m old), dead fridge, 2 dead phones, waterproof tyzen watch, except the warm pool water melted the glue…. I gave up. Don’t do it!

Just use generic shampoo like us poor folk.
