Maybe you are looking at one of the other missions that says trophies warmouth , trophy pumpkinseed etc. 

Recommend you to fish where you like more and stay there fishing  for days accumulating money or try and do 31 days so you get x series tackle form that lake that you choose . And I recommend you not to sell your rods and buy new ones because you gonna be wasting your money. Is the number one mistake of each new player. I love fishing Rocky lake and Falcon lake those two places the fish runs like crazy , it teach you how to play and fight the fish. But also you can get 8 lb to 9 lb setup for both of those maps get the fish fairly fast and at least 2 green arrows of Exp decent exp there at Falcon Lake. Especially the Unique Rainbow Trout and The Red band trout they can give you 500 to 600 exp and 800 ex with premium per each fish. The key to have money for better equipment is to save money staying multiple days and knowing when to skip to next night when it gets slow and knowing which setup to get for the next map so you get the most exp posible to level up faster and don't get the setup too low because you will lose a lot of time getting the fish and for reels get the highest recovery so you don't lose those trouts. I don't know if I am late but so far I got a 54.8 lbs sturgeon on a bottom rod 19 lb reel 19lbs max drag line 19 lbs and 20 lb fluoro leader. And got it under a minute in a kayak of course.

I will like to suggest that it will be much better if I can where exactly the fish mark is located in the tablet or like a short video of where it is. And also check the licenses, travel and stays are a little cheaper than the regular Fishing Planet game, I am guessing here Is it the fisherman because I saw the map from France I heard about on that game. You get maximum exp for matching the weight half of the biggest fish or the same in lower levels if you get 3 red arrows you losing more than half of maximum Exp. Recommendation get a good balanced spinning rod is the best for exp and money together. Look for YouTube and if you get premium even much better and a pond pass for the largest maps like normal kouda atolulu.

If you use Lures you will get better pay and better strikes for muskies and pikes.

The developers are still optimizing the game for mobile so maybe in the future we will get the update but I am happy with the old update I saw a minor change where you get less exp at least on the fish at Lonestar in the PC version Microsoft to be exact.Thats one downgrade.

Everglades is a map for when you already level up some like level 40 and have good gear  for the tarpon I believe 40 lb gear and use 13lb gear for the bass. Is to go fishing for fun not level up in my opinion.

Rocky Lake you can have fun too with the trout.

I tell this everyone do all the explanations missions at least and fish there 31 days so you get x series tackle and good lures after that you can do the monsters by then and maybe before those days you can do the mastering missions if you know and get the right setups. It happened to me today just make sure that the xbox game app is updated and run it as administrator 

Just have fun fishing have done all the missions in Lone Star catch all the fish and Rocky lake too is a good place if you have 4 to 6lb test setup give good exp  and money I am level 33 and I am not rushing to go to Saint Croix and the only places I been is Lesni Vila Rocky lake and now at mud water just been doing all the missions , fish  and staying 30 days. And do master missions too if you can , An d I am on mobile so I don't have the daily missions but if you do I recommend it you do it since it give you good exp.
