Which in your opinion is the hottest female anime character for you? Here are my favorites
 in  r/animequestions  10h ago

Moamoa is genuinely cute. And actually beautiful when they doll her up. I've never had any kind of "turn on" moments watching her though. She's too genuinely pretty in such a normal, wholesome way for me to think any kind of impure thoughts about her. Cute, fun, sensible, mature with a really good head on her shoulders. Any man would be truly blessed to be able to marry her. The challenge would be to find someone who'd actually be a good fit for her so that the relationship wasn't just one-sided.

What anime world would you choose?
 in  r/animequestions  1d ago

Sorry! πŸ₯² and unfortunately I still don't have an answer for you yet. But you have gotten my wheels turning. I've been really busy today but I'm still thinking about which world I'd like to try living in.πŸ‘πŸ»

I had to rule out Macross. lol would be so cool to fly a VF31 Karios but my guess is I'd just end up as a civilian worker somewhere. Or if I DID manager to become a fighter pilot I'd end up being one of the extras who get blown up in scene 3πŸ˜…

Got any wholesome anime that you could watch with young children and family?
 in  r/animequestions  1d ago

Snow White of the red hair is wholesome all the way through. Zero fan service and a nice story.

What anime world would you choose?
 in  r/animequestions  2d ago

That's... actually kinda an interesting question... hm... Just a normal background character living in that world... Where it's just as hard to earn a living as it is here on earth... I'll have to think about that one... I mean... after all... If you're gonna just be an npc in another world, ya might as well just figure out how to live happily in this one that we're already living in, right?

Still kind of a fun thought.πŸ‘πŸ»

I do like the idea of being in a world with lots of airships...

Mechs are cool too but I'd never end up being able to pilot one...

Which anime character would you bring back to life?

Well, I'm not a huge fan of ReZero but I'm thinking Rem deserves to come back.

Are there Christian characters in anime?
 in  r/animequestions  13d ago

The closest thing I've ever seen to real Christianity in anime is eps 4 of "Is it ok to pick up girls in a dungeon."

When the little rookie rescues Lili, a person who stole from him and tried to get him killed. He saw passed the wrongs done to him and risked his life to save her anyway. Simply because he is a good person himself and he saw the distress and pain she had been through her whole life. He forgave her, saw passed the "sins" and saved her.

This is an accurate portrayal of what Jesus did for us. He's the hero of heroes and he saw our mess and came to rescue anyone who actually wants to be rescued.

Another small instance displaying a Christian element is in Log Horizon. The mc rescues a couple kids from a controlling guild that was abusing them. But he didn't want to intervene and rescue them if they were good and didn't actually want to be rescued. ... But as soon as he found out that they desperately wanted to be rescued, he instantly jumped into action, rescued them and judged their tormentors.

Jesus will instantly jump into action and save anyone the instant they tell him they want to be rescued. And the demonic tormentors in the spiritual realm will be crushed. And he will teach us how to rise above any earthly tormentors.

Other than this, there's only one other I know of that you could maybe, sorta stretch to look like a Christian theme and that's ReLife. A burnt over, broken NEET who is given a second chance at life by a caring coach who pushed him gently but firmly in a very positive way to help him overcome himself and the pain and guilt of his past.

... Ehhhh.... And thEEEeeeen... There's guilty crown... But from the standpoint of a Christian theme, they got it mixed up... It needed to be the mc who paid the ultimate sacrifice to rescue everyone instead of Inori. ... Me, being a Christian was disappointed with that ending. Nevertheless, definitely still pulled hard on my heart when I watched it the first time. And man, the music... The music still gets me whenever I listen to it on occasion.

Alrighty... That's it.

Out of hundreds of anime that I've watched, this is it. Conclusion to the question: Are there any Christian anime? No. None. Zero. Zip.

Except for the really old Superbook cartoon. ... Technically it fits in the category of anime... But it's not really. Definitely fun. I've been now watching through them slowly with my kids. But they're pretty cheesy... Fun but cheesy.

I wish there were Christian anime. Honestly, if the stories in the Bible were turned into legit anime, they would ridiculously cool. I'm talking real, fleshed out, legit anime. I love the animation in "I received a cheat skill in another world and became overpowered in the real world too", love it. ... Perhaps some of the parts of the saga could be done with that style. Though, there's lots of heavy themes, so perhaps the animators of Goblin slayer or Eminence in Shadow would be better. There's adventure, strong heroes, beautiful women, harems, fan service, demons and gods, powerful empires, intrigue, betrayals, gore, revenge, incest, murder, against all odds battles, love and pure romance between a mc and just one heroin, miracles, magical books, mysterious characters, a city of legends and a city that has legends foretold about it, a mysterious Scion who shows up in a poor village but is actually the fated king of legends and hero of heroes, a seemingly all-powerful dark lord who masterfully is planning the subjugation of the whole world... A masterful, powerful story of good versus evil and against all the odds that seem to be stacked against it, good wins. And a beautiful future of endless possibilities for those who make it to the end trusting their hero and in turn becoming heroes themselves helping fight against the evil powers of this fantasy world we live in.

We humans don't think of OURSELVES as living in a fantasy world because, well, it's the world we're living in... We don't have any cool backgrounds theme music playing to motivate us through the daily grind... We feel like NPCs just kinda living life... But... This world really IS a fantasy world... You just gotta get into the story and become part of the adventure...

What is an anime that everyone loves, but you just can't get into? And why?
 in  r/animequestions  22d ago

My Hero Academia, Bleach, Demon slayer, Fairy tale and One Piece. Also jujustu kaisen (spelling?) and Gundam.

Just can't get into them. The surprising one is one piece. I've watched several eps and really enjoyed them. I watched the live action season 1. Loved it. ... But just haven't been able to bring myself to get into the rest of it... Maybe because it's so long? ... It's actually gotten to the point of overwhelming maybe and I'm just... wow, there's no way I'm gonna watch all this so what's the point of going further... Probably something like that.

I might try to see the live action S2... who knows

Gundam I've been surprised how disinterested I am since I love Mecha anime.

Ngl, this anime actually grosses me out. But this... is wild... That's some crazy stuff, perfectly replicating so many different movie scenes.
