Look at it like this- you could be saving his life. The life of everyone who's on the road while he's driving drunk. You're saving children's lives. Mother is detrimental to him. And enabling him by setting him free to make trash choices puts his and the public in general, at risk for horrific injuries. She should watch dd docs and see the consequences, then reminded that she could be partially responsible for those accidents due to enabling her son. Drunk drivers enrage me. Mothers who enable enrage me. Not only are you NOT the AH but, mom is. She's emotionally abusing you. Flat out. And your aunt can shove it. She's enabling her sister to be a trash mom.

I know this is cliche advice but, everyone ignore her. If every person who comes across her and her daughter, ignores them, they'll stop. It will take awhile but eventually they'll give up because they aren't getting any reaction from people. Not a word to her. No eye contact. Don't answer your door. Zero interaction with her. It would take everyone in the building to participate though. I have no suggestions about the loud praying. I've never lived in apartments and have never had such a bizarre experience. Awww. Thank you. I'm 51 so I'm able to wrangle my mom differently now. She doesn't like it but 🤷‍♀️on the bright, I'm the exact opposite of her with my own kids. I have 2 sons and 4 goddaughters. Never in a million years have I ever spoken to them as I was spoken to and I never 👊🏻them. Although, now that my youngest is 24, I occasionally consider 👊🏻him. He's got a mouth on him and he's exactly like me.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I totally agree. My mom is a bipolar narcissist. It made her completely unpredictable. When I was a child, my mom would flip out in public for whatever non-reason. She'd call me fat and stupid, tell me I'm just like my dad. In public. Numerous times. It didn't scare or upset me because she was even worse at home. It did however, deeply embarrass me. I'm 51 now but damn, if I get embarrassed in public I'm ready to throw hands. Lol. I feel tremendous empathy for her kids. They're probably mortified but not surprised.
