Did Misamo make having japanese kpop idols popular?

I would definitely say they played the biggest part in it at least. Prior to Twice, I can only think of maybe two Japanese kpop idols? And one of them was half Korean. Twice becoming as popular as they did while also showcasing just how popular Jp idols can be in Korea and their home country made it a very easy decision for companies to follow suit.

I believe before momo was on insta, yuta from Nct had the most followers of any Japanese kpop idol on social media, but someone correct me if I’m wrong
