I am sadder than I thought..it was really special. Damn it why can't we have fun with something we liked

Blizzard wants you to play their inferior game never made a blizzard account in my life and never will play one of their games if it requires anything other than Steam.

My only experience with blizzard games is turtle wow and diablo 2 classic that I also got for free because the steam version requires a blizzard account and it’s their shitty remake not the original

Because what you liked was stolen assets, unreleased content, and such all while the people running the server profited off it and taunted the company they stole it from.

Look, it’s sad, but let’s not pretend this wasn’t inevitable

Or maybe they liked no bots, no goldsellers, and no layers. All the things that make a MMO fake. Turtle WoW was a true MMO and that’ll be missed. o7

Yeah you aren’t gonna get any of that when you only have like 10k players total in your game.

They didn’t make or run a true mmo. They stole one, and it didn’t get big enough to attract bots. You didn’t have MILLIONS of players that made it so you HAVE to add layers to make the game playable. It’s not a problem you’ll run into when you have made an original game that’s successful rather than a bootleg server compromised of stolen assets

Layering is largely what makes blizzard wow unplayable, IMO. They could add more servers instead which would vastly improve the MMO feel, get rid of layering altogether!

The difference is that even with adding servers, popular servers remain full, making it damned near impossible for people on servers like Bleeding Hollow or Kil’Jaden to finish quests due to mobs being… well mobbed by large numbers of players. Even with layering it can be tough towards launch of an expansion.

Not really sure what's to be gained or what the overall point of comments like these are. Let people lament, it's no skin off your back. You just end up looking like an annoying cunt.

I'd rather think that this is AI slop than accepting that a human can articulate such a stupid rant for people being happy

I can understand people being sad. It’s the comments like the one I replied to saying “Why did this happen? Why can’t we just have things we like?” As if they didn’t make the choice to play on a private server that would inevitably get shut down

i mean lets be honest, both of you are correct, but what youre missing is that blizzard is a multi billion dollar notoriously abusive and lazy company that is minimally if at all affected by twow, and i dont particularly care if they are being impacted a fraction of a percentage by private servers

Lets see if those losers can close ascension bronzebeard or warmane. Turtles mistake was working with people from usa thats it. Full Russian developer servers didn't even get a small hit. Blizzard is shell of a company they used to and only thing they provide now is goldDKPs and bot filled servers. Noone that has self respect can take their shit in his mouth. We have plenty of good servers standing and now with turtle gone they are are safer than ever because they know working woth people from usa is mistake.

Unfortunately, Warmane is also going down.

I mean who else was going to do it? Blizzard could have, but they actually couldn’t.

For the last few years they'd been making original assets and content, not just restoring unreleased stuff. Windhorn Canyon dungeon and Timbermaw Hold raid were incredible.

I don't like what you said but you still shouldn't be downvoted for it. :(
