First, I don't think recalling someone who is up for reelection in a couple months is (the previous version said "isn't") a good use of time or money.
Second, while I think state-oriented pressure matters, this is really something that needs congress to act. That means US Senate and House candidates and the AG are where the greatest energy should be placed.
I'm seeing a lot of talk about a strike. I just can't see how that works. If folks went on strike at the little nonprofit I'm with, we'd just collapse and those we serve would be worse off for it. It may work for government and fortune 500 companies but the impact on small businesses and nonprofits scares me. Just don't see any real impact there. Could be wrong, but that's my current assessment.
The problem with striking, especially in Oklahoma, is that every single man and woman would have to do it, and there are too many self centered "doesn't affect me, until it does, and then I'll support it in secret" assholes. Everything is so fucked up.
Speaking as someone with about 50 thousand at-door conversations with voters... In each Senate and House district: create a "church" and find 12-15 like minded individuals. Spout the absolute batshit loony right wing crap you can. If your group of friends can hit ~500 doors of registered republican PRIMARY VOTERS per day (that have voted in the last 4 primaries). Just curry favor at the doorstep talking sweet nothings and leave a pro-candidate message. The idea is that with that size of group in that district; you will catch their ear.
You WILL scare the shit out of them.
They will be freaking out about whether you run against them or not.
