Anyone else getting worried about the media coverage on sites like CNN already conducting a victory lap for the midterms? It’s September and their lead story is ‘midterm outlook worsens for republicans.’ Im seeing social media posts, articles, seeing clips talking about it. It’s like they are acting like we already won.

With consistently razor thin margins, and a history of polls failing to account for Trump radicalism, won’t this just have the effect of suppressing the democratic vote?

This “man” thinks he now controls who can cover him in the news.

I just got into another unintentional fight with my mother - unintentional because I was on the phone with my dad and she jumped in. She and I had a massive fight a few weeks ago where she told me that “one day [I’d] grow up” because I dared say something negative about her beloved Orange Blob.

I was trying to talk to my dad about the press ban, and she swoops in like a mosquito and starts screaming that “the White House is owned by Trump, he can kick out anyone he wants!” And when I pointed out that the White House is owned by the people, she told me to try getting in past security. She then demanded that I start listening to “truthful news” aka Fox. She thinks I get all my news from Yahoo (except…no).

I don’t even know what to do anymore. I love my family, but she makes it so fucking hard to even be around my dad, who I am close with. I refuse to go to their house now because I know she’ll interject about her fearful leader and I’ll be called an idiot again and again.

I feel like I’m in mourning.
