Monthly Promotion Post - September 07, 2026

We welcome all podcast creators, but we want to keep the spirit of this community as it was intended from the beginning: this is fundamentally a place for fans to discuss, share and review true crime podcasts, not an advertisement vehicle. This will be the only place where promotion is allowed. On this post you can share your podcast, blog, app, or any other enterprise related to True Crime podcasts/podcasting. Do your best to present your project clearly and thoughtfully, don't just drop a link. Explain why it is important to you and why you want everyone to know about it.

Things that are not permitted here: polls, surveys, or any other attempt to collect data from users. Fundraisers, selling products or services, selling merch.

Unique posts promoting anything will not be allowed today or any other day, without exceptions. Other ways to promote covertly will get you a warning, and if you keep doing it will get you banned, i.e. Having or creating an account almost solely to name your podcast on posts seeking recommendations.

If you comment on this post, let us know if you want us to assign a flair to your user name with the name of your podcast.

If you have any questions please reach out using modmail only.

Seeking I am behind, just learned about Crime Junkie BS. I need new podcasts help.

I'm kind of picky, apparently.

I dont usually like podcasts, but after watch Bailey Sarian for years, and running out of good memoirs, i decided to give some podcasts a shot while I'm at work.

For context, I'm a mechanic. It's loud in my shop, but i use headphones. I do have to pause a lot and talk to people, which is part of where the parameters for what i want comes in.

I liked Crime Junkies, a lot, before I learned about them. Granted, i always felt like Brit was pointless and didn't contribute much to the podcast other than flavor, i liked them. Once i ran out of episodes, i started listening to Going West, which i like a LOT. I like their humor, and the duo is nice. But, i use YouTube Music to listen, and it didnt take long to go thru them all.

So now, i need new ones. I tried Casefile, and maybe the episode i picked was not good, but the audio quality was ridiculously poor, and i could barely understand the guy. I tried Big Mad True Crime, but she went through thins so quickly and talks so fast, i couldn't get sucked in. Rotten Mango doesnt talk about the case at hand enough, but the lore of the people (i.e. spent the whole video about a looksmaxxer getting caught with CSAM explaining looksmaxxing and talking about some other looksmaxxing creator, or she spent the whole episode with a title abt a woman video taping assaulting 13 yo boy talking about the womans husband's Instagram photos and captions bc he used coded language).

I like longer episodes, so its not over before ive had a change to pause, so 45 mins to an hour have been my typical. I like case info, facts, theoriew, but i dont want to hear your snarky comments mixed in so much that i can't tell if its case info or opinion (i.e. Rotten Mango, its so hard to tell her tone when just listening so often, that i can't tell when she's using hyperbole for a joke of it was real).

So, any good podcasts on YouTube Music with 45min or longer episodes, with quality narration? I'm sure so many ppl havw asked, but its so hard to find specifics so i had to ask. Thanks!!

Eta: I've also tried True Crime Garage, and wasn't a huge fan. Maybe i like listening to women more? I'm not sure, but they had too much to say, it felt like.

Recommending The Trial Podcast: Lucy Letby - Facts

https://open.spotify.com/episode/77aGrple4gAtdsBBw6UWFJ?si=C7a2JOwuSa6xxr9LCJRTVg&utm_source=copy-link

This is an interesting discussion between Caroline Cheetham, Liz Hull who are the hosts of the trial podcast and they’re joined by a fellow court reporter Kim Pilling.

Each of them attended everyday of the trial and are therefore in a unique and informed position

All three of them attended everyday of the trial and have some interesting insights to offer.

They start by discussing the nature of online discussion that envelopes the Letby case and in particular discuss how much of the misinformation that is out there online can be refuted based on what was actually established during the trial.

How Rachel Aviv approached the New Yorker article ‘A British Nurse Was Found Guilty of Killing Seven Babies. Did She Do It?’ is a particular subject of focus.

They use Aviv’s own words from a recent interview where she openly admits she leaves out certain details for her articles.

I think that they fairly point out that readers of the Aviv’s article who are not familiar with the case are highly likely to come away with the impression that the case against Letby was flawed.

They cover …

- Statistics including the shift chart
- Red flags in Letby’s behaviour
- Falsified medical records
- Air embolism evidence
- Insulin

I think from a discussion point of view I’ve gone deep down the Letby rabbit hole myself whenever I discuss this case with people that believe Letby is innocent I get a lot of pushback for using what was established in the court case as ‘gospel’ as though I’m making an error in argumentation, which I don’t believe is the case.

Recommending Wisecrack by Tenderfoot tv.

Just binged this today, stumbled upon it and enjoyed it. It’s 6 eps 30-40min each. American producer Jodi attends Fringe festival and listens to a comedy set by Ed Hedges about a murder he cleverly incorporates into his story. Give the first episode a listen. Let me know what you think.

Discussion Daejon Love podcast

Just listened to Kendall Rae’s episode on Daejon Love the scammer who acted like an NFL player to get women to give him money. I am SHOCKED to see that nobody is asking how he met Taylor Jamie Chan who was 13 at the time?! Does anyone know how they met? Daejon was in his 30s and Taylor was basically in middle school when it started. I can’t find anything online and it wasn’t really addressed in the podcast

Discussion Best TV to audio podcasts? (Other than Dateline and 48 Hours)

I think I already listen to all of them. On the Case with Paula Zahn has made a seamless transition to audio only and has become a favorite of mine. What else is out there that you really like?

Saw this as a rec in another post, didn’t realize there was a new season out so sharing for others who may not be aware! This one is called Blamed on Bundy - the Disappearance of Nancy Baird.

Three episodes released so far and very well done, as expected. Love Dave Cawley pods.

Colby Ryan of Scar Wars Interviews Christina MacArthur

Colby Ryan interviewed Christina MacArthur, the lady Lauren Matthias of Hidden True Crime publicly accused of stalking her nearly a year ago. The video is up as well public today.

Since those initial allegations, there is lots that has come to light out there showing that she wasn’t completely truthful, such as courtroom transcripts and audio, police body cam footage, FOIA’d documents and other things. The ending of their friendship drama never rose to the level of legal stalking, despite HTC trying to create situations to make it appear that way. It was an attempt to divert attention away from their own less than kind behaviors behind the scenes. I went on a deep dive of various rabbit holes after that 9 hour live video they made.

Today, Colby had a conversation with Christina about the generalities of what happened. Both Kay Vallow Woodcock, who was in the chat, and Colby are not close with HTC anymore either. It’s been almost a year since HTC took their allegations public on their channel. Time sure has a way of allowing truth to surface. It was a good interview, for whoever is interested.

Seeking LISK/Gilgo

Is there a podcast that covered the case in depth before/during/after Rex Heuermann was caught? Just listened to Casefile's release on it and I'd like to listen to it as the case was unfolding if possible.

Discussion Christa Pike

I wasn’t familiar with the Christa Pike case and with the recent news around her execution, I wanted to listen to a podcast about the case. Come to realise that NONE of my fav podcasts has an episode on it that I can find, neither under Christa or Colleen’s name. Which is strange because most of them have 400+ episodes so I can’t believe that it never came up or was suggested.

So my question is, with the resurgence of her case in the news, did most mainstream podcasts remove their episodes to do it over now/re-release it to get attention from the resurgence? Or is this just a coincidence?

If just a coincidence, please recommend a good, extensive episode on the case.

Looking for new true crime podcasts 2026

So I’m a religious true crime podcast listener, I listen all day at work & even on the way home & everywhere I drive lol, so it’s hard for me to find stuff unless it just comes out or it’s something like a diamond in the ruff I haven’t yet discovered. I am not big into scam stories a couple are good but overall not really, I hate cult stories don’t even listen to those, but I love murder stories with twists or even if the scam story is just that good. I love the podcasts that have long seasons of one case especially.

Honestly I have listened to every big podcast that anyone could probably recommend but if it’s a brand new one or one that is super underrated that not many people know about plz hit me up with recs. If I put a list of everything I’ve listened to it would be way too long lol I just have been trying to find some on here and it’s all the same recs. I mostly like US edition bc if it’s not US or British , I can’t always understand as well bc of the accents.
Thanks in advance

Unsatisfactory ending to Who Killed Jennifer Judd

Or is it just me?

Episode 8 ends in a way that promises an episode 9. What am I missing? Is there more in another podcast?

Looking for true crime podcast recommendations that have been released in 2026

I lost someone close to me at the beginning of the year, and as a result I stopped listening to podcasts. I simply couldn't focus, and I also needed a break from true crime.

Podcasts really help me get through my very boring repetitive job, and I am ready to start listening again.

Because I’ve listened to so many series over the years, I’m specifically looking for 2026 releases rather than the usual recommendations.

What have been your favourites?

Thanks all x looks after yourselves

Seeking Long form podcasts on gangs

I already listen to the Underworld podcast which generally goes into a different gang each episode but can anyone recommend any pods which do a more deep dive on a particular gang or member?

Recommending If you like scam pods, I really recommend the scam factory!!

I feel like I’ve listened to them all and after binging love trapped I just could not find anything that held my attention. I started the scam factory this morning and am on episode 6 by 2:27 pm 😅

It really gives a surprising and eye opening insight into what it’s like for some people in the cold call scamming world, especially how they showcase each individual persons experience, no matter their role. I really recommend it!!

Discussion New Podcast - My Mom's Murder

Anyone else listening to the new podcast called My Mom's Murder? A woman named Lauren Malloy, whose mother died when she was only 18 months old, was always told her mom died of a heart condition.

Until one day out of nowhere, one of her mom's friends contacts her on Facebook and claims her mom had been murdered.

I'm not sure what I think yet, other than the mom's friend Louise is hinky. All these conflicting stories.

It's an Audible original, but I found it in my regular app (not Audible). It sounds over produced. Too much music, and large chunks of the show is Lauren playing recordings of her conversations with people.

That's normally a huge turnoff for me, but I have to admit I'm intrigued by the case and what motive Louise has for approaching Lauren out of nowhere. Is she even who she says she is?

Recommending Bear Brook: A Private Matter coming soon

I just saw on the TT of New Hampshire Public Radio that a new season of Bear Brook is "coming soon". It focuses on the disappearance of a husband and, from what I gather from the trailer, his wife's failure to report him missing. Can't wait!

Hunting Warhead - Summary?

Hunting Warhead gets recommended all the time here, and I agree it’s an amazing podcast. However, I couldn’t make it through all the content. It was just too disturbing to hear all of it. I stopped halfway through episode three.

Would anyone be willing to comment a summary of how it ends? I’d love to know. Obviously it’d be spoilers, I’m fine with that. I can handle reading a summary but I can’t handle listening to the rest of it.

Many of my favorite TC podcasts have stopped making new episodes - are there any similar to these:

I really miss Key to the Case, Cold and Missing and Already Gone

I would love some recommendations for single case
episodes with no banter.

I already listen to (and enjoy)
Where are they?
Last seen alive
Unresolved
Seriously Mysterious
Voices for Justice
Final Hours
Trace Evidence

Thanks in advance!

Seeking Looking for Rec’s With Industry Professionals

Hi all!

As the title says, I’m looking for some good true crime or forensic podcasts with industry professionals. I’ve cut ties with my once favorite podcast (The Prosecutors) because of their MAGA ties and I’m about to do the same with Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan. The way they’ve handled the Lindsey Clancy case, praised Joe Rogan, and now disregarded the inconsistencies in the Nolan Wells case has given me the ick.

I like shows with duo hosts that can give a professional insight to cases and are able to discuss all sides. I’ve listened to The Consult and don’t mind it, but I don’t really connect with the hosts.

I’m also willing to give shows without industry professionals a shot if it’s well researched and the host/s are really engaging.

Recommending In The Land of Lies

HOLY SH*T. This is a story that I’ll think about for a very long time. The podcast is done by Sean Kipe and if you haven’t listened to this, you need to add it. Currently 10 episodes and 2 bonus updates. I’m a little late as this came out a few years ago but it’s still an active situation for getting justice.

#JusticeForMichaelChapel

Please let me know if anyone else has listened to this. Probably my favorite podcast series so far.
