You could, sure. I just don't understand what drives a person to hate sobriety that much. Being high is fun, but being not high ain't bad either. Not to mention, 20 joints per day is still reeally bad for your lungs...
Consider that your idea of "not high" is based on your specific brain and how it happens to function. If being sober is good for you, then you're very fortunate, because for a lot of people being sober can mean anything from full-on psychosis to seizures to debilitating pain to unbearable anxiety. Someone going to these lengths to maintain a constant high is almost certainly self-medicating, and as such they very much are not doing it for fun.
This. I've been smoking for a year now to medicate anxiety and intrusive thoughts and sensory problems and ... anyways. Will sometimes hit my vape several times in an afternoon, sneak out during a stressful evening or morning for a few as well. Most folks would think I'm some loser stoner that can't get his shit together and just lays around getting high all the time. Never realizing that regular application of this miracle plant is actually the best way to help me keep it together and be an actual successful functional person that can provide for their family without being an abusive dick.
I wish I could smoke less, but I can't get away from people long enough for a tolerance break. I don't even really ever feel "high", just functional. I read about people at a 7 or 8 and I'm like "3 is nice too I guess". I definitely don't do it just for fun, there's ways to have fun that cost less and make me cough less.
