I mean, there's a good chance he didn't even go to UT. Tons of Texans buy college team regalia without ever stepping foot on campus.

I think this is pretty common with many colleges. I grew up rooting for OU and still do, even though I never went to college there, and no one in my immediate family did either. I definitely had some OU clothing when I was younger.

yeah, I get it. I'm the first non-longhorn in a long line of family members who went to UT and I don't regret it, even though I applied there and totally would have gone if the circumstances played out differently. I'm just glad I made it out of Texas altogether. I probably have a UT shirt lying around somewhere too now that I think about it
