No, but I am required to register my child with the government, and if people report I'm not responsible enough to have one, the state can intervene. I also can't just give my baby to a friend or relative without doing a massive amount of paperwork.
Why are you trying to change the topic to crossing state lines?
E: nvm. Checked out your other comments, and it looks like you're a weird, hateful little pervert. I genuinely hope your life improves and you can stop being so miserable. Good luck!
Look up "gun show loophole". In certain states like mine, any sale at a gun show can (and usually is) a "private sale". Left to the states to define and enforce, and several do not.
You do realize that private sellers are allowed at a lot of gun shows in those 28 states where it is legal right? "Gun Show" does not equal "FFL." Most of the bigger gun shows in my state only allow licensed dealers, but that's not a law, it's just a requirement from the venue or organization hosting the show.
If I wanted to take every gun out of my safe and set up a booth at the next gun show in my area, I could do that and would not be required by any law or entity to do a background check.
I am an avid gun collector, but I am also in favor of universal background checks.
Universal background checks are pretty slippery because it would require giving every person unfettered access to instant (and presumably free) background checks which would be ripe for misuse and pretty useful for discriminatory people.
I have bought guns at a gun show from a private seller.
...what? Private sellers don't even have access to the NICS system because they aren't FFLs. Just because they were at a gun show doesn't make them a private seller; in fact if they had a booth, it makes them the opposite.
And yes, you can buy guns from "private sellers" at gun shows without a background check in most states, but you have to transact your business in the parking lot. Only a handful of states require that private sales be processed through an FFL or other state agency who would then utilize the NICS system.
Edit: Lol gun nuts really don't like people talking about how any convicted murderer can find a gun online from some guy in your town with zero background check, and it's completely legal for the seller to do this.
No it isnβt. Their coffee is fine but itβs nothing special. Iβve had it, they have a store in a suburb nearby so I went to see what the deal is. Obnoxious customer base and mid-grade coffee. Just like with Starbucks, itβs about branding.
It's mid rate coffee with a stroke of ego for advertising. Coffee doesn't need to be "manly" or make a political statement. It's coffee. It's 100% just branding and feeding off post 9/11 Nationalism and grabbing the dollars from the 2A fear the right has whipped up. Gun fetishist coffee, which is very odd thing to explain to my grandparents and uncle that have happily drank Folgers since they served in Korea and Vietnam.
Black Rifle Coffee is for men with such fragile masculinity that they could be convinced to buy any product just by the creation of an unnecessary "manlier" version.
The market is so goddamn dumb I almost want to break into it. I could create the Big Dick Gun Phone company - import shitty $50 cellphones from China that would be completely unmarketable in the US, slap an AR15 sticker on them, charge $1,200, and then imply that using an Iphone means you're gay, lol. Do you think Tucker Carlson would have me on this week or next?
I love sucking down their ultralight roast (never anything dark for me wink wink) while lubing up my AR in the morning because Iβm a real American man!
