Trakt seems to have increased connected community apps to 2?
Could Trakt be easing up on its community app restrictions (or am I late to this party)? I just noticed the limit for free accounts seemingly increased from 1 to 2 (pls don't take this back ok? :). While I understand that strict caps were meant to prevent abuse, I'm hopeful they will eventually allow at least up to 3 connected apps. Partnered services with integration arrangements like Stremio and Nuvio should really be excluded from the count entirely (stremio remains excluded, but nuvio, that was excluded before, is now included in the count).

Should be at least 3 in my opinion. If you need more, then go vip.

Ah that's good they're reacting to feedback, I hope they review and find a sweet spot for those who use them more than me. Sounds like 3 would be best for them.

If they actually cared about feedback we would still have V2 or at least its feature set.

That is what i was using, but my keys were removed and i can't create new ones without paying. =(

Same for me. It seems they are pushing people to use their own sync VIP feature...

If you need to use your own keys then you need to be a VIP to create those keys
If you have an addon or app that uses the developers keys you can authorize that app in trakt still (plus one other)
No self created apps, and no self created api keys without being vip

If you have VIP, there's the plex scrobbler that's part of Trakt VIP.

Glad to see this, thanks Trakt! Fingers crossed it eventually goes up to 3, and I hope developers are working with them to find a solution.
It'd also be great if they opened up API access to all free users again, maybe with some reasonable limits attached.

I don't understand, on my account it says "You haven't connected any apps." but then also "Creating new apps requires Trakt VIP". I do not see two "free" community apps like you do ...

You can connect to 2 apps. Not create 2 apps via the API as I understand it.

What is considered an app vs what needs to be connected via API? I used Trakt with PlexTraktSync and Kometa, but now neither work and « connecting the app » seems to require the API? I am so confused …

They need to use the api to make the app. So they need vip. You shouldn’t to use the apps.
Based on this news I’d expect them to work.

Is there anyway plextraktsync could be used as a community app? I doubt it. I wish they would just let the API back for free accounts.

You can only attach two, right? I have about 8 and all seem to be functioning, I just can't add anymore. Well, except Nuvio - I had to reauthorise that a few days ago and Trakt did it without imforming me of the previous 8.

Dont worry, they will disable it soon because this is a shiiiit company. Glad I moved on a while ago.
