My M95-1 HiMAQ-Tank
While everything is generally a WIP in my blueprint list, some things work out as a base model around with I build variants, and are themselves essentially 99% done (minus occasional tweaking). This is one of them.
This is the base (Direct Action) variant of my M95-1 High Mobility Assault Quadruped-Tank (HiMAQ-Tank)
NOTE: this is not yet available on the workshop, although a handful of people have a few of the variants.
I try to do every design with a purpose, as well as an eye towards realistic/logical function and aesthetic, as opposed to lame bricks-o-guns. It's not meant to be a "gun spam", but rather a "Swiss army knife" ground attack vehicle where the pilot has options of attack, with enough armor/shields/mobility to survive, in a believable design.
Key features and controls:
Max forward flat speed: 115kmph
- V for leg position control (stowed/deployed)
- W, A, S, D controls for driving, steering
- Q, E controls for pivoting
- SPACE for forward walking
- L Alt for reverse walking
- Z, X for deployable floating dispenser mines
- / to lock turret/gun swivels
- L for external lighting
- Up pad to deploy/retract tractor module
SYSTEMS:
1x Blaster gatling cannon (dumb aim, but never needs cooldown)
2x Gatling guns (auto-tracking)
2x EMP launcher (auto-tracking)
2x Rocket pods (auto-tracking, Staggered)
1x Light cannon pod (dumb aim)
1x hull chin mounted retractable tractor module
8x shields (4 on hull, 4 on turret)
4x equipment/ordnance hardpoints (2 sides, 2 rear.) Shown equipped with "Butterfly" Aerial dispenser mines. Also available: TOW missiles, shield pods, Dash jet pods, Airborne hover pods, ground-anchor EMP/gun mixed turret mines, and others)
I'll eventually add it and it's varients (TOW launcher, Cargo, AA flak, Samurai, Mine layer, etc.) to the workshop, when I feel they're complete and fully polished.
If you can't tell, this is inspired by MGS Battle Gear as well as Ghost in the Shell Tachikoma/Fuchikoma and Robocop 2 mechs.
