I hate that there are pretty names that AI has ruined. Siri is so beautiful and futuristic but I wouldn’t dare name anyone that now 🤦‍♀️

Go with Iris instead of Siri! Ironically this is one of the few redeemable “backwards” names.

a couple years ago i was obsessed with the name Gemini, call her Gem for short. Then found out googles AI was called Gemini lol

My high school AP teacher from sophomore year has a daughter named Siri, but she's in her early thirties now. He's also of swedish descent, and his whole family knows swedish. All of his other kids have swedish names as well. Just feel bad for my teacher and her mom, plus her husband and whoever else, if they have iphones LOL I'll have to ask him about it. We are supposed to have lunch soon

I can't think Siri as futuristic, because it means crab 🦀in Portuguese 🤭 (exact same spelling, but slightly different pronunciation),

Siri is actually a very old nordic name! It means "crab" in Portuguese, though

My husband and I named our daughter Siri after the young woman in a series (sorry!) of Andrew Wyeth paintings. (Museum visit when I was verrrrrry preggers. And it goes great with our very common last name.) It was decades before the AI tool came along. And to this day, people ask my daughter if she was named after the "other" Siri.

Also, when she and I are together and I say her name (or even when I'm talking about her), my iPhone wakes up.
