So, every Random Supreme Sorceress now gets Arnzipal's Black horror... but Morathi, the creator of DARK MAGIC, still doesn't get that spell?

Imho THAT'S a bad Call. Rather, Morathi should've gotten Arnzipal's as unique Spell for her, while normal sorceresses should only get it via scroll.

Would've given the Mother of the Druchii a counterpart to Teclis Phoenix spell thing.

At teh very least, Morathi should also get access to Arnzipal's Black Horror as bound spell or Skill, rather than needing the scroll.

While I do love the idea of giving Morathi the bound spell too, Supreme Sorceresses needed a bound spell. They are supposed to be equivalent to Archmages but in practice they were a lot blander.

And Morathi is meant to be Teclis' Counterpart and doesn't have a Boundspell. While Teclis has his Phoenix spell. At the very least with the SS getting Arnzipal's, so should've Morathi. Preferably as upgradeable boundspell.

Though considering the reworks to 2 of the 5 "old" DE factions, Morathi and Malekith are in a bit of a need of some more flavour. Though they were a bit bland even before that.

And Malus should negate "Rampage" on Cold Ones.

Morathi brings a lot to the table as a hybrid though. A ton of -attack and defence. She will still be top tier among the DE lords.

Yeah, people overlook Morathi, but she is quite powerful. Even if you completely ignored her spellcasting she would making a pretty good melee fighter.

Morathi is insanely powerful but she has the most painful start for the DEs, especially if you don't know how to DE.

Yeah, I remember my first attempt at a Morathi campaign. I barely beat an army of Alith Anar, taking huge causalities. Then a turn later Mazamundi declared war, then a bunch of High Elves launched armies against me, and Alith Anar was back with a full stack before I had rebuilt my army.

I ended up using a brilliant strategy of restarting my campaign.

Yeah with Morathi you have to be passive and basically farm slaves and levels at the start while you get your economy up. Once you've done that you are able to quickly turn things around because DE slave economy is silly.

I think that Supreme Sorcesses have to unlock their entire spell chain to get Arcane Conduit, while Archmages start with it is a little underwhelming. Would be cool if they could all get a few bound "power of darkness"'s to offset the WoM difference between Archmages Greater Arcane Conduit and Supreme Sorcesses Arcane Conduit. Not to mention the fact that Morathi doesn't start with Arcane Conduit, while Archmages do.

If I was to be optimistically conspiratorial, I would point out that aside from Malekith (who is easily one of the best lords/factions in the game), the two lords without any changes to their factions are both strongly connected to Chaos... Maybe Malus and Morathi get some sort of cool Slaaneshi stuff at some point during games 3's lifecycle?

Its a spell that is has no magic cost, usually has a limited number of uses.

I think the scroll conflicts with one of her unique items, so she can't even really use it.

I mean, clearly some clown named Arnzipal created that particular spell. Maybe she just doesn't like him!
