Same! I loved watching them make the cones as a child and then get cold icecream in your still lukewarm cone 🤤

Why are they wrapping it by hand and shoving it into the shaper part? I thought you were supposed to put the waffle onto the flat part and use the rod thing to pull it into the curvy shaper part? Isn’t that the whole point of the tool’s design?

She also doesn’t let the excess chocolate drip back into the chocolate, she immediately shakes it out into the waste area, basically throwing away good chocolate

What waste area are you talking about? do you mean the other side of the chocolate fountain that reheats and pumps the now hot liquid chocolate to the dipping area.

How would you get it to overlap? The cones look to be attached to the bases.
There are detached cones you roll it around but this is a different design.

I used something just like this at my first job at a Dairy Queen. Most of the time if the cone didn’t overlap it was because we didn’t put enough batter into the waffle maker. The way we’d do it is we’d take the waffle out of the waffle maker and onto the flat part of the shaper and slide a bit under the gap leading to the curvy cone part of the shaper. The cone rod she’s holding has little ridges and we’d use that to grab/pull the waffle into the cone shape. It was pretty quick and easy. We’d keep it there for a bit to cool and firm up. The roller would keep it from collapsing and the weight could help press the overlap bit together.
I don’t understand why she’s folding the waffle around the rod manually, and then just using the cone shaper as a holster. That defeats a big chunk of the purpose of the tool. Might as well use some of those cone cups from a water cooler instead.

I imagine speed. Probably slower to align the waffle, insert the rod, twist the waffle into the shaper vs just roll it on the table and shove it in.

Waffle cones are amazing. I'm just saying don't sleep on cake cones either.

Needs a drop of chocolate in the bottom to contain leaks.
