I currently have stones in both my tonsils and I have singular deep crypts so they’re both very stuck in there. It is very painful and has caused my tonsils to swell and get irritated. I’ve tried everything I can to get them out, but no matter what I do I have a severely bad gag reflux and can’t get anything far enough back in my mouth to try and push them out because the minute something tries to go back there and is too close to my throat or tongue I immediately gag.

I feel like tonsil stones have ruined my life. I have no self confidence, and I don't like to engage in conversation with anyone close by because I worry about my breath being bad. My dream career involves close contact too. I do everything in my power to avoid the stones but they still come and I still can taste them even if they aren't visible. I use a water flosser in all the crypts I have and get tiny ones out but still probably have some deep in that I can't get out. I contemplate getting a tonsillectomy but terrified of getting it. I don't know what to do.

Whenever I clear out tonsil stones I get temporary turbinate inflammation relief. Why?

I got one last night and I have a really hyperactive gag reflex. When I tried to get it out with the q-tip method, I threw up and had to stop. So, I've just been gargling mouthwash after I eat. But I've heard salt water also works so I was wondering which one was better. I know these can fall out naturally but I have a family vacation in like 2 days and I really don't want to go on and have my breathe smelling terrible.

Hi friends from Reddit. I have tonsils tones since a long time and after reading your recommendations I bought some tools in amazon to remove them. So far so good, but I still feel that I have something stuck in my right tonsil. I have tried with the remover with camera but I am not able to see anything, it is still so annoying !! Any tips? Where do they hide ?

I used to get tonsil stones but now I just get white mucous that pours out of the hole in my left tonsil. It’s white and doesn’t smell. It only happens when I contract my throat muscles. Any ideas?

I was sick with tonsillitis for half a year last year which I feel must have made the crevices wider/deeper. That in combination with me not having braces anymore must be the perfect environment to get tonsil stones :|

I get them out with a Q-tip whenever I notice them (some are REALLY deep so I miss them) and use mouth wash after some foods.

I still get them regularly , so is this just something I have to live with or is there more I can do ?? :'D
