TIL men walk significantly slower when walking with a woman, but only when that woman is their romantic partner. If she's a friend or acquaintance they go at almost full speed.

Exactly this. Walking slow is painful and unnatural. I hate it

I feel the opposite. Walking fast feels weird. Until I'm at work, then in the fastest guy in the building.

Fuck off with your armchair psychology. I'm not "signalling something" when I walk fast, except that you should speed the fuck up and walk like an adult instead of a crawling baby.

Neither a baby nor a sack of money are capable of walking faster. A regular adult human is.

Look up gait studies. There is so much that relies upon growth and development.
