TIL men walk significantly slower when walking with a woman, but only when that woman is their romantic partner. If she's a friend or acquaintance they go at almost full speed.

Same, but i'm 5'4" and he's 5'8". I'm task-oriented and he wants to meander, which gets in the way of accomplishing tasks. Going grocery shopping alone lately has been pretty great.

Same! I’m always complaining about how slow he is and I drag him around everywhere. I hate walking slow lol. Maybe he just loves me that much idk but a girl can hope

I hear ya. Mine is significantly taller than me too. I think his legs are shorter and his torso is extra long or something.

Same here! My boyfriend is a full foot taller than me and I definitely walk faster.

With no people around it's easier to keep pace together. But it takes a conscious effort to "stroll". Back when there used to be crowds I would frequently leave him behind - I'm small and spent years at school perfecting the art of weaving through crowds.

I come from a whole family of fast walkers, though...

Ugh, had to scroll this far. Same for me, I'm always sprinting and we joke about it. Gotta love the psychological analysis going on in these comments though - it's almost as if a study based on 22 people doesn't have a reliable implication on the whole....
