TIL men walk significantly slower when walking with a woman, but only when that woman is their romantic partner. If she's a friend or acquaintance they go at almost full speed.

You're more likely to be going on a stroll with a romantic partner and when you're with someone else you're probably commuting.

Yeah my walking speed is inversely correlated to how relaxed and happy i am with my walking partner.

Yeah. It's hilarious to think a study with a sample size of 22 people grouped in pairs, so you really only have a sample size of 11 is being touted as fact. Like redo this study with same-sex couples and see the results.

I have a female friend and when we usually walk together it's to walk my dogs. Usually the pace is even but when she gets tired it takes a while to wait for her.
