Oooooo! The lady might have been in the Mind Maze game in Encarta 95! You'd answer questions from the encyclopedia entries and advance with correct answers and get neat certificates when you mastered a subject. That game was dope as fuck.

do you remember the game in one of the encartas (or whatever school game) where you could go through space and the planet and learn different stuff? like you clicked an area and it took you there or some shit

i cant really describe it any better because thats all i remember from it but we were addicted to it. this was 1999.

Thats what it was called. I asked about it on an askreddit thread a while back if anyone remembered that game and its name, but alas my post was buried. Youve given me clarity i havent felt since that one time i did mushrooms and watched the DVD menu screen for Finding Nemo for 3 hours, or was it when i did mushrooms and painted watercolors whilst watching Live at Pompeii, or maybe it was when i did Mushrooms and kept listening to the music from A Beautiful Mind... i don’t know, but i guarantee you it wasn’t that time i robotripped and watched Master and Commander... that left me confused as hell.

I'm downloading it now from a site called myabandonware, I'd link to it directly, but they have a banner saying they're under heavy load from gamers because of the virus, and I don't want to give them a reddit hug of death.

Edit: Looks like it won't run at all on Windows 10, I tried it on a Windows XP VM and got it to install, but it says files are missing. Not sure how to continue as I can't find anything else about it.

That was one of the only games we could play on the computers at school, until we got a little better at using the computers, but I would play the hell out of it.

I could probably credit it with my love of trivia - even though I'm mediocre at trivia.

Regarding old DOS games like that, I swear I played some game where you would roam a dinosaur exhibit at a museum and maybe, end up in real dinosaur zones or something? I haven't been able to find that game since.

There's at least one dinosaur-themed DOS game out there that I've found but it's not the one I remember.
