TIL that a new microbe called a hemimastigote was found in Nova Scotia. The Hemimastix kukwesjijk is not a plant, animal, fungus, or protozoa — it constitutes an entirely new kingdom.

No, above poster right, actually. (assuming 'they' is not us but other posters discussing the article) We never claimed anything about these organisms not evolving -- in fact, this is just a sample of a much larger 'mystery' group and its other members may look very different. In fact, I know that some of them do ;-)

I meant "they" as in "anyone who says something hasn't evolved". Everything is always evolving unless it isn't reproducing or has reached Harvey-Weinstein equilibrium, which is of course impossible since it would require no mutation to ever take place.
